They are all manufactured under license to the Swiss pattern owner. I thought it was the German one that had all additional parts to use as Lathe and drill press. you will find there are more of them than you have listed. Instead of manufacturing and exporting worldwide they licensed manufacturers in many countries. In Australia the Australian and the NZ units are sold I have the NZ unit.
I gave up looking for the SwissRex here in America. I think it is only available in places like Germany. I would love to have one, they look extremely versatile, and well built.
Just picked up a new Zyliss vise with the screws still in the package for 80.00 bucks. The couple who sold it to me, said that it was from a relative's estate, and he used it maybe once, and packed it up, even the plastic jaws look new. I believe them, the box is pretty beat up, and the manual has nearly disintegrated, but all the parts are there. These things are very well built and have a great reputation for their build quality.

@@couchiman3838 That is a really great price. Anytime I see one now that is priced at 50 bucks or less, and it is in good shape, I will probably pick it up. These things are really useful if you are a woodworker or DIYer.

Originally they were manufactured in different countries but these days a lot of the Licenses have them manufactured in China. If you have a look at the units for different countries there are variations especially with the German one there are a lot of add-on components available. Zyliss never manufactured them to export around the world they choose to sell manufacturing licenses in other countries, the French do that a lot as well. A lot of western companies actually have factories in china making knock-offs of their Brand Name Products harvesting millions of sales from people that will not spend the high ticket prices on the brand name.

They Sold Licences to Companies in different countries to manufacture & market and they most probably receive a percentage from the Sale of each one. Over the years there has been alterations so there are small differences in each country . So sorry you are wrong.
