Dear sir, Here is my understanding. tomato pruning of suckers is required for tall growing varieties (indeterminate) that are mainly grown in poly houses or under pendals support. For bushy varieties ( determinate) we should let them grow the way they are without pruning. When each branch is staked, they don’t cause any problems. The oldest leaves can be pruned upto a certain height to avoid fungal attacks. I grow both varieties commercially with success and don’t take pruning approach for bushy varieties. I love the way you have explained.
