thank you, we're working hard on part 2 and it's looking sick, would you wanna see some short previews of just like a topic at a time before the full thing?
Through the Wire is one of the greatest hip hop songs of all time. It’s story is equally as inspiring. Like Kanye has said in the past “if you’re a Kanye West fan, you’re not a fan of me, you’re a fan of yourself.”
Did you know that the preschool he was in wanted to hold him back a year because of his social skills but Donda was like "no" got him into a selective school and he got upset as a kid because ducks didn't sound like they should. And, in China, he fought a teacher over some gloves and got the Chinese kids to pay him to break dance.
My favorite fact here was the bit about Elton John calling MBDTF the Hip Hop Sgt. Pepper, and his favorite hip hop album. There is just something so great about literal music royalty from a past generation appreciating modern hip hop
I was about 7 years old the first time I heard Kanye’s music (25 now) and have gone thru many phases with different genres of music but at 7 years old he had me hooked and 18 years have passed and I only grow fonder of everything he has put out… regardless of how polarizing he is as a human being, the man is just an incredible, inventive, creative genius.
Im 25 too and been listening over 10-15 years. His first 3 albums introduced me to rap and hip hop beyond Eminem and Dr. Dre. Even so, you gotta check the celebrity worship and recognize how his lyrics have indoctrinated a developing consciousness and influenced emotional growth.
Kanye has been a big part of my music listening experience since I was 5. I’m 19 now, and no matter how much my music taste change. I would always Kanye come back to Ye

Growing up I liked his music, didn’t shit about him. When the Grammy incident happened, I sided with everyone just thinking he’s an asshole. Some personal shit happened to me where I changed my mental and wanted to give things a new try/ just keep level headed before making decisions. One of Kanye’s old tracks started playing and I remember just being lost in it, one of my favorite songs. I clicked on his profile on Spotify and said fuck it, lemme download all his albums real quick and the rest is history. One of my favorite people of all times and most definetly one of my top artists. Idk why I’m getting a lil emotional writing this out but music is everything to me and to think I went so long without getting absolutely lost in his work made me reflect on myself and kinda hate myself for a period. I wanna learn more about the guy but there’s so much and I have no clue where to keep looking for stuff besides some TH-cam documentaries, and his sub Reddit wich feeds me lil bits of info tbrouhh memes and appreciation posts that give me a place to start looking on my own. Thanks for this video my guy. Pt2 was in my recommended and I had to start with 1. Excellence.

Imagine all of the music that would not exist if he died in that car crash. In thousands of years he'd be in the cultural section of every history book just like how we look at Mozart or Beethoven.
"Keep it 300, like the romans" is not a reference to the movie, it is a reference to the roman numeral for 300, CCC (Cool, Calm, and Collected) Edit: I feel like the depth of this comment is often overlooked, which to me is another piece of proof of 'ye's genius
“I’M DOING 500 IM OUTTA CONTROL (NOWWWWW), BUT THERE’S NO WHERE TO GO (NOWWWWW), AND THERE’S NO WHERE TO SLOW (DOWWWWWN)... GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD! GOD!” -Kanye said calmly
@@ts-wo6pp nah it's definitely possible, he said "i keep it 300, like the romans" which is "i keep it cool, calm and collected, like the romans" which makes good sense to me
This is a very good video. I feel like it's not telling me to think or feel a certain way about Kanye West, no sensationalism here. I came in knowing a few of his songs and only the very major controversial moments. I have come away thinking Kanye West is an incredible artist, so innovative in all of his business ventures, he is successful however life must be difficult for a person battling mental health issues and his issues sometimes cause him to make bad decisions also while dealing with fame and the negative experiences that brings and wanting to be a great father.
Hey! You seem like you'd take a keen interest in watching a vid revolving around kanye's whole *personality* rather than the major highlights he's had. th-cam.com/video/-8K9iEMyYDo/w-d-xo.html This one might be the one for you
@@ieatfood226 Thank you so much I just clicked on it and it has those sweet moments with his mother The relationship he had with his mother was something I have never seen before especially on the documentary. He never interrupted her, he never spoke over her, he took it all in and his mother would say his name a lot which is an excellent form of communication it releases dopamine and the other feel good chemicals in the brain. This burst of excitement makes people happy and sends unconscious signals such as empathy, trust, and compassion to the unconscious brain. They were so comfortable around each other she knew all of his lyrics. Music can be so deep and it's the ultimate form of expression and he didn't feel judged by Donda and she got to know him on a completely different level which is so rare it would be like letting your parents read your journal or your deep and meaningful conversations on social media. He didn't feel judged by her and she loved them all, Donda is his number one fan! When one of them started to smile the other would contagiously. They would rap together and it was pure sunshine and happiness Hey Mama in the kitchen. I get the feeling his mother was beautiful inside and out. This special and vital relationship was just ripped away he still needed her. He will never get over it and I lost my father last year in a way that will leave me asking why for the rest of my life. So I feel for Kanye so much. I am glad he is still gifting us with his stunning music. I really hope that one day he will get his pure sunshine smile back

Excellence.
idk why the original through the wire recording was so funny😭😭
50 minutes has never flew by so fast, the layerimg of the topics is so well crafted. I wish more iceberg videos did this, it would make for truly great watches like this one. Thanks!
Imagine all of the music that would not exist if he died in that car crash. In thousands of years he'd be in the cultural section of every history book just like how we look at Mozart or Beethoven.
Bro I hope they use his face time pictures in those textbooks
Kanye is not gonna be in history books 😭
@@RichPileofleaves yes he will lol
@@joshuawax4049 why
@@RichPileofleaves hes famous and has been super influential in hip hop, street wear and such
Kanye west has a creative child in his heart, kid cudi too. You can tell from their energy and expression.
I NEVER NOTICED AZIZ IN THE OTIS VIDEO
Yeah once you spot him it'll be hard to miss now!
I’m obsessed w these iceberg videos, you did a great job with this!
Thank you!

"Keep it 300, like the romans" is not a reference to the movie, it is a reference to the roman numeral for 300, CCC (Cool, Calm, and Collected)
Edit: I feel like the depth of this comment is often overlooked, which to me is another piece of proof of 'ye's genius
lol that's a full ass stretch sorry bro
Kanye West and Radiohead don't have much in common, but they do both have pretentious fans.
“I’M DOING 500 IM OUTTA CONTROL (NOWWWWW), BUT THERE’S NO WHERE TO GO (NOWWWWW), AND THERE’S NO WHERE TO SLOW (DOWWWWWN)...

-Kanye said calmly
@@ts-wo6pp nah it's definitely possible, he said "i keep it 300, like the romans" which is "i keep it cool, calm and collected, like the romans" which makes good sense to me
@@ColdCraftVideos or maybe he just thought the movie 300 was about the romans
B b b but he made graduation

This one might be the one for you
@@ieatfood226 Thank you so much I just clicked on it and it has those sweet moments with his mother The relationship he had with his mother was something I have never seen before especially on the documentary. I really hope that one day he will get his pure sunshine smile back
You really do not fear the beast named UMG I see...
that's cos none of this is gonna get blocked we tested and had to upload the video like 3 times lol thanks Jay. But most youtubers just try to avoid copyrighted music all together cos ad revenue but content and quality comes first with us so fuck that
@@kingcon2k11 from personal experience, UMG has been a bit of a problem so I just avoid copyrighted songs all together and I guess others do as well, but I also know they don't block all songs, I guess its just the really high profile ones.
@@cammfoxboy yeah I've had videos removed by them in the past too they are bastards but generally you can tell what is and isn't gonna be removed but it does take trial and error. I totally get why people wanna avoid that tho but personally I know we would rather deal with that and have the content be better than not you know?
@@kingcon2k11 yea I agree, music adds a lot to videos and if it's just that little thing saying what the song is its worth it but blocking the video to me is just extreme.
@@cammfoxboy yeah copyright on TH-cam is wack
Kanye really is the type of dude to have "000000" as their password on their phone lmao

All the lights just got 10x better now I know Elton John is on the piano.
its crazy cause storm from yahndi originally had x on it but took the feature off cause he was cursing:/
It also seemed out of place so it was good he scrapped the verse.

drake pretty cool, but that Cudi diss was just not it
Very much not it

This was insanely good and so much detail. I had no idea about the whole Kanye Quest thing. Was there any mention of the Can't Tell Me Nothing mixtape and the Throw Some D's remix though? I thought that was an interesting release not many people know about that might've got missed
