I like IBKR better than De Giro but only because of the research button with information, also from Morningstar and Lipps evaluation. But you have to set IBKR in dark mode. The light mode is very stressfull on your eyes due to the mediocre lay out. De Giro is much more user friendly and has a nice clean presentation.

Hi Angelo, thank you for the video, very insightful and documented. What would you recommend for someone with residence in the Netherlands and willing to invest in ETFs (EUR)? Is Degiro a better option, maybe less tax declarations (?) or still IBKR?
Transferred my portfolio from degiro to IBKR a year ago. It was a mess, paper forms, insane fees, degiro really made it as annoying as possible to get away from them. But worth it. I have read online that IB-IE only protections up to 20k Euro in case of bankruptcy, whereas IB-CE protects up to 100K Euro? Thanks!
Hi Angelo, if you extend your Excel spreadsheet with calculations to trades > 65000, the tiered pricing scheme becomes more beneficial than the fixed one.
Super informative video, thank you! One question... Do I have to pay the +-1.35e fee on IB for dollar cost averaging? Like if I add a certain amount of money every month, am I going to have to pay the fee every time? Thanks in advance for the answer!
Hi Angelo, I really like your videos! I don't understand the difference between VWCE and VWRL. Both are VAN FTSE AW. Which one should I go for a long term investment? Thank you so much!
Hi Angelo, I think it’s worth mentioning that most recently IB has implemented a rule whereby they decide how allocate accounts between their different EU entities. As a Polish tax resident, I would be automatically moved to their Entity in Hungary (IB Central Europe). I’m not comfortable leaving my life economies with an entity regulated by Orban’s Government…
Hi Paul, that's because the IB founder is originally from Hungary. However I can't see them risking their reputation and not moving clients to a subsidiary in another country if assets would ever be at risk in Hungary. Just like they moved clients from UK to IE and HU after Brexit. Their actual business revenue that comes from Hungary is likely much less than 1%, so in my opinion it's not worth worrying about.
To me the clear winner in Interactive Brokers, also I found the customer support form Degiro to be bad. They also don't allow you to pay in or out of your account using Wise bank and I think Revolut too
@@AngeloColomboFi I know! I deposited 4 thousand euro using WISE and it didn't go into my account. I contacted them and they said they do not accept money from a WISE acount. It then took me 1 year to get them to return the money!!!!! I can send you some of the emails if you don't believe me. It was crazy !!!!
Wow, that's insane! Actually, I'd love to see their excuse for doing something like that, can you send me some of their responses to youtube@p2pinvesting.eu ? Thank you for sharing that.
Hi, thanks for all your videos. I'm hesitant to open an account with IB because after a little research, I learned that French residents will have their account with IB Ireland with a compensation scheme up to 20000€ "only"

Hi Angelo, Would you leave currency conversion up to Interactive Brokers or you would use Revolut for that?
Thanks for video :) I've just made an account on IB. I also use XTB, they have 0 fees and a simple interface, but I choose to have IB for diversification
Hi Angelo been watchin your vlog .Just wanna ask how you invest in Euro like example I want to invest in Tesla, Apple, Nvidia..etc . Do i need to convert euro to USD dollar?
Nice vid Angelo! Where can i learn about the exchanged? I am always buying from London St Exch but never asked myself why. What are the differences between echanges for buying ucits etfs?
Hi Angelo! You are doing a great job. Is Degiro available for buying ETFs in Austria, because here in Greece where I am based, the KID is still not available in our language, hence we cannot buy them anymore.
Hello Angelo, great video. My question is about people from non-EU European countries - Serbia, Bosnia etc. Which affiliate of IKBR should we choose? The Irish one (.ie) or the central European / Hungarian one (.hu) ? Thanks.
I just want to mention that de Giro is one of the few brokers in the Netherlands that offers a pension blocked account. Very useful when you otherwise are forced to buy an insurance plan at very bad conditions for your pension money and you dont need a monthly allowance right away.. in the Netherlands you can keep it 5 years max on the blocked pension account from the Giro.
@@tanokiller23 Its a situation in the Netherlands, I don't know about other countries. We can get our retirement money out now but then we lose 50% of the money on taxes. As long as the money was destined for retirement they were exempt of taxes because the government wants you to save money for your retirement, so you will not rely on (extra) social security. Then we are left with two other options: buy an expensive insurance plan with a low monthly payment for as long as you live or put your money on a blocked bankaccount (with low interest rate) or put your money on a blocked broker account, always for the maximum of 5 years. De Giro is the only broker that I know of that offers a blocked pension account. I hope to have some gain with stocks the next 5 years.
Thank you for this video. Do you have any opinion on the current changes due to new Priip regulations? In some countries including mine (GR) we cannot buy very well known etfs anymore (VUSA for example from DEGIRO)
Hi Angelo, this video is very informative, thanks. Do you know what is the insured amount with both brokers(in case of bancruptcy). As far as I know flatex insure up to 100k€ due to their banking license, is it the same with IBKR?
That's the deposit guarantee, which is only relevant for the cash you hold on your account. Assets (stocks, ETFs, bonds) are held separately from the broker's assets, exclusively in your name. They can thus be transferred to another broker in case Flatex or IB were to ever go bankrupt - no matter the amount. It's one of the reasons why I prefer brokers that don't lend out shares (lent out shares aren't properly segregated).
Thx a lot Angelo for this awesome video, i was struggling so hard to understand the fees on Interactive broker(Degiro not avaiable in latvia) now i know which broker to choose.
What do you mean by Degiro is not available in Latvia? Do you mean something related to tax reporting? I am from Latvia and I have just registered my account. Select Ireland for English. It is actually a language selection, not residence selection. Then you provide your actual address in Latvia . And they require a utility bill as a proof of residence. It took me 2 weeks to get it approved.
Hi Angelo. Again, all the best to you and thanks for the content. Can you please trade with option on individual us stock within IBKR European account? Thx
Hi Jan, you're very welcome! I'm not sure I get the question fully. Are you asking if you can trade options on IB? I think so, but I have no experience with it
Hi Angelo, i’m avid viewers of yours and thank you for the wonderful insight. Is there any trading platform where European residence can do day trading aside from IBKR? Also, does PDT applies to all European residents under IBKR platform for active day trader?
Hi Angelo! I'm also an Austrian tax resident and I have just bought my first shares of the Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF (USD) Accumulating on Interactive Brokers. After doing a bit of research, the dividends of the accumulating ETFs are also taxed here in Austria and I'm responsible for letting the tax authority know about it. Is this fairly simple with Interactive Brokers or would you just recommend going with Flatex instead? My strategy is long term and I would like to put some extra money in the ETF here and there. I prefer to do it myself instead of a savings plan. Thank you for the great content!
Hi Marko, I'd go with Flatex in your case: p2p.yt/flatex If you set up a savings plan it's 1,5€ for each purchase. That way you also avoid dealing with the ridiculously stupid system we have in Austria for how funds/ETFs are taxed. It's not as simple as "dividends are taxed", you simply have to follow these "Jahresmeldungen" once per year: my.oekb.at/kapitalmarkt-services/kms-output/fonds-info/sd/af/m?isin=IE00BK5BQT80&stmId=343275 The Acc. Vanguard FTSE AW has some of the lowest taxation in Austria though, so you already made the right choice there! I'm taxing all these manually already on a yearly basis as I have several brokerage accounts across Europe (also to be able to find/recommend the best ones for my audience), but for you I don't think the extra work is worth it.
Which one of the two do you prefer? 🇪🇺Interactive Brokers (ETFs): angelo.fi/ibk 🇪🇺Degiro (ETFs): angelo.fi/de 🇦🇹🇩🇪Germany & Austria only (ETFs): angelo.fi/atde 🏠All my investments (incl. p2p lending): p2pinvesting.eu/investor-toolkit
Hi Angelo, great content! I have a question, I'm just starting investing. I have about 30.000€ to invest, should I buy ETF's in one shot or spread it over a couple of months?
That's up to you, since I can't see the future I'm sadly unable to tell you what leads to in better returns :) Statistically, the sooner the better, but this could also be an option: 10k now and 5k each over the next 4 months for example.
Hi, Angelo. Great Video! Can you kindly elaborate on the "delayed data" on Interactive Brokers? When I try to follow your video and place a Buy order I have this delayed data icon, which you do not seem to have and it appears that if you wish to see real-time prices you need to subscribe to it. I don't know if this is related to the fact that I also see on the "Preview" that the fee transaction is between 1.31 and 35 Euros (namely 1% of the investment). How come it is that expensive? I live in German and the max fees should be 29 Euros. it seems that the high max fees are appearing only when I am buying fractional shares of VWCE as opposed to not. are you familiar with that? Is that true or am I missing something? Thanks
Hi Angelo, In my portfolio I have VUAA and VWCE ETFs. As they are in Euro and bought in EU, I am wondering can I transfer my IBKR account to USA with these ETFs? Unfortunately IBKR has no clear information on this matter and transfer investments between US and EU is so tricky.
Hi Angelo, thank you for another great video. Have you heard about recent news for Degiro regarding the audit by Bafin and their concern about deficits in business? Degiro’s stock price dropped 37% after that. Should we be concerned about this?
It may be that I missed it but you might have overlooked one very important component where Degiro is just plain superiod. We are only considering the buy side for now. fine, makes sense. however, Degiro also only charges a 1-3€ fixed sale cost at this point. Either way, Interactive brokers is considerably more expensive here as you will have accumulated a considerably bigger portfolio at the point you want to cash out. Then the cashing out becomes quite expensive compared. consequently, the difference between the two in terms of price is marginal.
Did you factor in these points on Degiro? - yearly 2.5€ exchange connectivity fee for each exchange - currency exchange fees & spread for each dividend that needs to be converted to EUR - your shares are lent out, with no option to disable this and you not earning a penny from it - transferring stocks or ETFs from Degiro to another broker is ridiculously expensive, while it's free on IBKR (experienced this first-hand)
Hi Angelo, is it possible to transfer my shares from EToro to interactive broker? If I pledge those shares can I use those margin money for trading (selling options or leaps)?
Hi Angelo, great work on thje channel. I have a quick question regarding IB for us Europeans. Should we be subcrsibing to Market Data? and if so, which ones do we need? All I do is invest in the VWCE once per month. Also, I noticed that in your videos you buy full shares and leave money in the account rather than buy fractional shares. Is there a reason why you don´t buy fractional shares? I want to just make a recurring order of 250€ per month to begin with. Keep up the fantastic work!
No need, I've never paid for market data anywhere. Unless you're a professional trader, there's no need to waste money on something like that. Until recently fractional shares weren't available on IB for VWCE, but luckily that seems to have changed - at least as far as recurring investments go (haven't tested direct purchases yet with fractions). I was able to buy 11,85 VWCE shares using the feature yesterday :) Thank you!
I use Cap trader. I thought its the same as Interactive brokers. But its not. Cap trader has no IBKR pricing plan. This is the section where you set tiered or fixed fee. Its shoud be under Settings > Account Configuration > IBKR Pricing Plan but it looks like Captrader has no IBKR Pricing Plan.
Hello Angelo, How exactly did you manage to set-up Revolut withdrawal account? It’s simply not recognisable as a bank account from IBKR, so I guess not possible, correct?
What about taxes? For a Digero account you have to manually register 2 account numbers one in the Netherlands and one in Germany. You also have to make sure to tell the tax agency what your doing every year via the yearly tax administration… it is more complex then it seems.
For someone who lives in Austria, how do you manage with taxes when exchanging in IB. I thought there is only one option which is Flatex? Thank you very much!
I'm not your average Austrian investor. I'm self-employed (thus need to file taxes anyway) and additionally this finance TH-cam channel is targeted towards all of Europe. As a result, I need to have first-hand experience as an investor with low-cost brokers that are able to serve most of the people watching. While the tax reports on IB are useful (especially if you're investing in single stocks), they don't include everything you need to declare for ETFs on a yearly basis in Austria. That part is a lot more complicated, so I would honestly stick to Flatex. I explained Austrian taxes in more detail here: th-cam.com/video/s_UK3n1PVHs/w-d-xo.html
Have to say I've been using Degiro for a few years investing in MSCI all-world so no real problems there. The rest of the site is clunky and I've heard it isn't the best for selling options. I don't have enough money to sell puts at the moment but hopefully at some point! IB also come highly recommended though so maybe I'll open an acct there and see how it is.
I don't know what is the difference between these platforms and trading212 I did try them, but I never put much research into them. Just out couple hundreds on INTEL for 1-2 years. The only country that have Vanguard in the Europe is the UK?
Hi Angelo. Thank you for your videos. I tried to place an order at VWCE for 3 000 EUR (tiered pricing plan, account type cash). The fee is not 1.25 EUR but around 30 euros. Could you please give me any hints why the fee is so high? Thank you.
Thank you for the video! What do you think about XTB? I think it's quite popular in Spain for its 0% commission for ETFs. But as you didn't talk about it (good or bad) in the video of 2 years ago where you compare a lot of brokers, I wonder if there's something we should know about it.
I just opened an Interactive Brokers account. For a frequent/active trader only trading US stocks, do you think the fixed or tiered commission structure will be cheaper? Thank you so much in advance for your input/ explanation. 🙏
Angelo, amazing videos thank you, I was setting the purchase for 4 shares and the transaction fee is from 3 to 3.75 EUR, so diferent from yours, wonder why? Also, when I put EUR it doesnt show automatically the number of shares equivalent and the limit is also not set automatically, what am I doing wrong? Regarding permissions, did you check all the bullets?
As you seem to have figured out based on your other comment, you need to switch to the tiered pricing model first :) Here are some of the permissions I activated in my own account: th-cam.com/video/12g12UU8oPQ/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared&t=139
Great comparison, thanks! Are you sure IBKR has fractional shares for the ETF you are showcasing? It says the amount will be rounded up to whole shares. I found that to be the case for many EU ETFs
I always thought ETFs are the one for the retired people, it's realiable yeah but the growth is very slow. Could you please answer me, if you are moving to IB anyways why don't yu actively invest and trade on Stocks ?
sorry if you have already answered this. Why do you invest in a dollar based fund? Clearly this presents an added risk when you are paying in euros. obviously the fund has to buy stocks in all sorts of currencies, so it maybe that this is the obvious choice, can you just confirm please?
The fund is traded directly in euros and the fund currency itself is irrelevant, as it has zero influence over the value of the stocks within (in all of their respective global currencies). You would have identical returns if the fund currency was EUR, JPY, CHF or anything else. It's most likely USD since that's the most common currency for the stocks that are held (US stocks make up around 60% of VWCE).
Hi Angelo! I would really appreciate a video explaining how to properly use Flatex. I am based in Austria so according to previous videos, I think it’s the best broker in my case.
Yes, it's by far the easiest option if you're based in Austria, as they take care of all the tax stuff. Maybe this will help for now: th-cam.com/video/_Dpv7fE1OJA/w-d-xo.html (minute 9:54)
Hi Angelo, First of all, thank you for your great work! helps a lot for beginners. I have a question. In Degiro, we get annual investment statements, which we need during annual tax declaration. Same statement is not provided by IBKR, if I understood correct. How do we get this statement from IBKR for tax declarations? I live in Italy and I need to understand how to proceed, or which one to opt for. Thank you
You should be able to find/download it for each year under Performance & Reports - Statements - Tax on IBKR. Under Statements you can download annual activity statements as well, which contains a lot more information.
Hi Angelo, thanks for your videos. I was wondering if you were able to move your shares from CapTrader to IB. I understand IB doesn't do any lending by default, but do you know what would happen if it goes broke? Is there any type of insurance as DeGiro has (20k)
I didn't have to move anything, I was able to simply delink my account from CapTrader back in June 2021 when IB removed inactivity fees. If IB were to ever go bankrupt, securities (eg. stocks, ETFs, bonds) are segregated from the company and held separately in your name. This means they are unaffected by a bankruptcy as they don't belong to the broker, but exclusively to you. If a broker goes bankrupt, your shares are simply transferred to another brokerage account of yours. It's one reason why I prefer brokers that don't lend out shares, as that introduces some counterparty risk. Yes, the "insurance" amount is the same, but it's only needed in case of fraud (eg. broker pretending to buy shares, or not being able to fully return them if they are lent out etc.).
@@AngeloColomboFi ah great! I will try that then. I'm so glad IB removed those fees and they don't do lending, since I was having issues finding a broker I could really trust in Europe. Thanks for your quick answer
Does anyone has experience in having a custodial account to invest in ETFs for their children? I would love some guidance here on what are the best options in Europe.
Greetings sir, I just made my firs deposit to test and open account 5 Eur. But after 10 days > I noticed that there is now 4.99 Eur I'm a bit scared? Where my cent is gone? Is that means they charge inactive fees? PS:. I'm talking about Interactive Brokers (IB)
Degiro charts and the indicators available are close to none, however its close to impossible to open an account in IB because they have a brutal waiting line
Hi Angelo, on IB I am not getting the cheaper fees charge like you, example for €1000 and following exactly how you buy VWCE the cost is €5.62, I have tiered pricing ticked, it seems I am being charged extra exchange fees, it must be cause I am not buying on Gettex exchange? Is it because I am not in Germany? Not sure what I am doing wrong, the only difference I see is you have Realtime price consolidated appearing when you buy and I have delayed data? Maybe someone can help, thanks
Hi Jimmy, that's very strange. Can you send me an email, perhaps containing a screenshot? p2pinvesting.eu/contact Maybe I can help you figure out why that's the case - you definitely don't need to be based in Germany (I'm in Austria btw)
Hey Angelo, this is by far best content I hae seen on the topic :) Quick question: Does Degiro & Interactive brokers offer DRIP? It seems Degiro does not offer this option. Your video indicates that reinvestments is possible with Degiro, this is a bit confusing can you please clarify this? :) Thanks!
I'm very happy to hear that! As far as I know, neither of the two offers DRIP (IB does in the US, but not in Europe if I'm not mistaken). So you would have to reinvest dividends manually.
I've been following your channel which I find very informative. After many study, I finally bought my first ETF at IBK, but I've noticed something much different than you. I paid 3€ in fees for that single order. I found it a bit strange. Do you have any idea why that happened? Thank you very much for all the help and precious information provided in your video.
Sounds like you're using fixed pricing instead of tiered (mentioned this in the video as well) - make sure you switch and wait 48 hours, then you should be paying 1.25€
@@AngeloColomboFi you are totally right. I thought I had chosen the tiered pricing when creating the account, but it seems I didn't. Thank you very much for your prompt answer and please keep growing this channel. Amazing content!
Hi Matthew, I hold them wherever I buy them usually. Right now mostly on IBKR, but we have a lot of them on our Austrian Flatex brokerage accounts as well, since we've had monthly savings plans running there for several years.
Hi Angelo, What do you think about EUR to USD currency conversion fee on IB and also the difference between the commission fees when a stock is bought fully or in a fraction? I notice a straight 3 EUR conversion fee for EUR to USD. Also the fractional stocks has large commission fee on IB 😕
That's why I included an extra section in the video where I mentioned the cheapest way to exchange the currency is to transfer the USD/EUR to Revolut and do the exchange there :) I've never bought fractional shares on IBKR, as they're not available for my ETFs as far as I'm aware yet. You could look at Trade Republic as well, fractional shares have the same 1€ fee there: th-cam.com/video/pGKjSzg-uoY/w-d-xo.html
@@AngeloColomboFi thanks Angelo for the hint. But the USD transfer fee from Revolut to IBKR USD account is 0.3 EUR per 100 EUR, so for a 1000 EUR transfer this costs same as if I convert in IBKR. Maybe this Revolut option suits if you have small USD amount like from dividends? Please correct me if I am doing something wrong in transferring USD from Revolut.

Hello Paul i live in Poland, am not Polish tho, what did you chooce at the end? Degiro or IB?
@@lovingchess3224 same here, what you've chosen?
To me the clear winner in Interactive Brokers, also I found the customer support form Degiro to be bad. They also don't allow you to pay in or out of your account using Wise bank and I think Revolut too
Crazy, it makes no sense for them to block what banks you're allowed to use.

I'm hesitant to open an account with IB because after a little research, I learned that French residents will have their account with IB Ireland with a compensation scheme up to 20000€ "only"
Hi Angelo,
Would you leave currency conversion up to Interactive Brokers or you would use Revolut for that?
Thanks for the overview. I was wondering what is your opinion about XTB broker.
Thanks for video :) I've just made an account on IB. I also use XTB, they have 0 fees and a simple interface, but I choose to have IB for diversification

Hi Angelo! You are doing a great job. Is Degiro available for buying ETFs in Austria, because here in Greece where I am based, the KID is still not available in our language, hence we cannot buy them anymore.
Thank you Giorgios! No, Degiro Austria closed down and moved to Flatex. Why not just use Interactive Brokers? angelo.fi/ibkr
How does this actually works? Do you have more details? I guess you cannot touch those money until you retire
In some countries including mine (GR) we cannot buy very well known etfs anymore (VUSA for example from DEGIRO)
kick a$$ video man! got a follower and supporter!
Thank you! 🙏
Angelo, you are truely amazing!
Hey, does IB provide the documents for local IRS to avoid double taxation on dividents? (W-8BN form)
Just missing one point on the analysis. The cost to transfer the portfolio, which is a critical aspect to take into account!
Awesome , just what I was looking for ❤
Hi Angelo, this video is very informative, thanks.
Hello, Angelo! I was wondering what’s your opinion on CSP1 etf in comparison with your choice of US etf (VUSA) ? Thank you!
Hi Marko, I'd go with Flatex in your case: p2p.yt/flatex
If you set up a savings plan it's 1,5€ for each purchase.
That way you also avoid dealing with the ridiculously stupid system we have in Austria for how funds/ETFs are taxed. It's not as simple as "dividends are taxed", you simply have to follow these "Jahresmeldungen" once per year: my.oekb.at/kapitalmarkt-services/kms-output/fonds-info/sd/af/m?isin=IE00BK5BQT80&stmId=343275
The Acc.
🇪🇺Interactive Brokers (ETFs): angelo.fi/ibk
🇪🇺Degiro (ETFs): angelo.fi/de
🇦🇹🇩🇪Germany & Austria only (ETFs): angelo.fi/atde

Hi Angelo, great content! I have a question, I'm just starting investing. I have about 30.000€ to invest, should I buy ETF's in one shot or spread it over a couple of months?
That's up to you, since I can't see the future I'm sadly unable to tell you what leads to in better returns :)
Statistically, the sooner the better, but this could also be an option: 10k now and 5k each over the next 4 months for example.
Great comparison! Would you please also compare IB with trading 212? Thanks Angelo!

Hi There, can you also use your TR card iso a Revolut card to transfer your US dollars like you showed in the video?
Thanks
So if i had Euros and would like to purchase shares priced in AUD what would be the steps? Much appreciated Angelo, Herzlichen Dank!
Hi Angelo, really well done. Are you currently paying for market data on your IBKR or you are simply using the delayed once?
Thank you! I'm simply using what IB offers for free. I'm not a professional trader and I find that's more than good enough for me :)
@@AngeloColomboFi Doing same here :) thanks
Hi Angelo,
In my portfolio I have VUAA and VWCE ETFs. As they are in Euro and bought in EU, I am wondering can I transfer my IBKR account to USA with these ETFs?
Unfortunately IBKR has no clear information on this matter and transfer investments between US and EU is so tricky.
Can you transfer euros back and forth to Wise? Do you prefer using the Wise Debit Card or IBKR Debit Card?
Hi Angelo, what is the best way to move the ETF’s portfolio from Degiro to Interactive Broker? Thanks
Here are all the steps: th-cam.com/video/1IT9O5WyF30/w-d-xo.html
Hi Angelo, thank you for another great video. Have you heard about recent news for Degiro regarding the audit by Bafin and their concern about deficits in business? Degiro’s stock price dropped 37% after that. Should we be concerned about this?
Hi Osef, thank you for the info, I completely missed that. Looking into it now.
- yearly 2.5€ exchange connectivity fee for each exchange
- currency exchange fees & spread for each dividend that needs to be converted to EUR
- your shares are lent out, with no option to disable this and you not earning a penny from it
- transferring stocks or ETFs from Degiro to another broker is ridiculously expensive, while it's free on IBKR (experienced this first-hand)
I was able to buy 11,85 VWCE shares using the feature yesterday :)
Thank you!
@@AngeloColomboFi many thanks for your advice Angelo
I use Cap trader. I thought its the same as Interactive brokers. But its not. Cap trader has no IBKR pricing plan. This is the section where you set tiered or fixed fee. Its shoud be under Settings > Account Configuration > IBKR Pricing Plan but it looks like Captrader has no IBKR Pricing Plan.
Hi Angelo, are you sure the core etfs are also on Flatex? I can’t find them at all. Seems to be only on Degiro but not Flatex
Hello Angelo, How exactly did you manage to set-up Revolut withdrawal account? It’s simply not recognisable as a bank account from IBKR, so I guess not possible, correct?
Amazing video, Angelo! I am looking for another broker and will definitely use your link for interactive brokers 💪
Thank you, I really appreciate it! 🙏
Very good video!
Can IB automatically buy fractional shares from your dividends? I miss this function on DEGIRO
If you're happy there's no need to switch. Then again, it's nice to have several options :)
Very helpful video Angelo !!!! Personally for my prime Broker, I use Freedom24, no fees at all and thousands of choices to buy.
Thank you! Great, I'm glad you found a broker that works for your needs!

Thank you for the video! What do you think about XTB? I think it's quite popular in Spain for its 0% commission for ETFs. But as you didn't talk about it (good or bad) in the video of 2 years ago where you compare a lot of brokers, I wonder if there's something we should know about it.
You're very welcome! I'm mentioning XTB in a video that will be out in an hour (5 PM) 🙏
@@AngeloColomboFi how timely. Thank you!!
Hi
What do you think of BUX from ABN amro for investment ?
As far as I'm aware they lend out your shares, so I would personally avoid it
I just opened an Interactive Brokers account. For a frequent/active trader only trading US stocks, do you think the fixed or tiered commission structure will be cheaper?
Thank you so much in advance for your input/ explanation.
🙏
I think it depends on the amount, but at first glance I think the tiered model should be cheaper unless you're placing a 5-digit order of US stocks.
Hello Angelo. Can we as EU clients to buy shares of US as VOO, VTI via Interactive Brokers ? If not is there an alternative ? Thanks
As you seem to have figured out based on your other comment, you need to switch to the tiered pricing model first :)
Here are some of the permissions I activated in my own account: th-cam.com/video/12g12UU8oPQ/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared&t=139
Great comparison, thanks! Are you sure IBKR has fractional shares for the ETF you are showcasing? It says the amount will be rounded up to whole shares. I found that to be the case for many EU ETFs
Thank you! Actually, I am sure they DO NOT have fractional shares for EU ETFs yet sadly. Hopefully soon though.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I think they do now!
Hi Angelo,
First of all, thank you for your great work! helps a lot for beginners.
@@AngeloColomboFi Thank you so much, Angelo.
Thank you
Hi Angelo, thanks for your videos.
I only get free live market data for US index on IB, not LSE stocks. Is this the same in Degiro ?
Can you do the new comparison IBK vs Trading 212? Considering Trading 212 gives you % for cash balance + no fees for trading.
Cant buy QQQ or SPY on IBKR as EU member?
Does anyone has experience in having a custodial account to invest in ETFs for their children? I would love some guidance here on what are the best options in Europe.
what does it mean each exchange for 2.5/year... each exchange??
Greetings sir,
I just made my firs deposit to test and open account 5 Eur.
But after 10 days > I noticed that there is now 4.99 Eur
I'm a bit scared?
Can you send me an email, perhaps containing a screenshot? p2pinvesting.eu/contact
Maybe I can help you figure out why that's the case - you definitely don't need to be based in Germany (I'm in Austria btw)
If you take accumulating ETFs, dividends would be reflected in the share price, right?
Thanks Angelo, I’ll use your links to sign up
I've been following your channel which I find very informative.
Hey Angelo I’m just wondering where you buy your all world etf and where you just buy and hold it ?
Hi Matthew, I hold them wherever I buy them usually. Right now mostly on IBKR, but we have a lot of them on our Austrian Flatex brokerage accounts as well, since we've had monthly savings plans running there for several years.
Hi Angelo,
What do you think about EUR to USD currency conversion fee on IB and also the difference between the commission fees when a stock is bought fully or in a fraction?
I notice a straight 3 EUR conversion fee for EUR to USD. Also the fractional stocks has large commission fee on IB 😕
That's why I included an extra section in the video where I mentioned the cheapest way to exchange the currency is to transfer the USD/EUR to Revolut and do the exchange there :)
I've never bought fractional shares on IBKR, as they're not available for my ETFs as far as I'm aware yet.
