    Hi there MG Tracey 😊,
    Just to let you know that I got a Tassimo Myway2 Coffee Machine and thanks for Santa 🎅 kindly getting me one, not only that I had a flavour of Christmas too which it was a L'or Expresso Macchiato and I absolutely love the caramel notes of the drink, it is absolutely beautiful 😍 and I absolutely love it

    My favourite is the Costa Americano coffee discs. I put a small amount of milk in my coffee mug and warm it it the microwave, then add a squirt of sugar free caramel syrup (from Amazon), then when the disc is in the machine I select option 1 which I’ve programmed for ‘strongest’, ‘hottest’ and full cup. Perfect at any time, but especially as a first cup of the day! I must admit to not liking any of the milk discs that Tassimo use, and prefer to use fresh milk.

      @@mgtracey Our water is terribly chalky, so the filter is a real help here, we also use one in our kettle otherwise we have a real chalky taste.

    My area's tap water (Anglian Water) is described on Google as "Hard or Very Hard", so would I be right in thinking I probably need to use the filter?

    • @mgtracey

      I’ve actually got a separate Brita filter jug that I use to fill my kettle, so I’ve removed the filter from my Tassimo My Way2 and use the jug to fill it now. It also means that the reservoir can now hold more water, so I don’t have to fill it so often.

      @@aerofly2 That's the best way. I've gone for descaling tablets every once in a while. Still getting very good coffee, and minimal scale.

    Do you always have to use the orange scanner before you use the machine?

    • @mgtracey
      @mgtracey  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, that’s just for cleaning or scaling the tea disc will have its own barcode to set the machine up for that particular drink

  • @neilrwoods
    @neilrwoods 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I have the smaller tassimo sunny machine. When you start the process it “ chugs “ quite loudly before it starts pouring.. is this loud “ chug “ sound normal and does the My Way do this …. Wanting to upgrade to a better machine but want a quieter machine.

    • @mgtracey
      @mgtracey  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is normal it’s the motor building up the bar pressure . They all make similar noises .

  • @graemecave4539

    How do you adjust the strength?

    • @mgtracey
      @mgtracey  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      On the top of the control panel, you will find three different coffee, bean symbols, Ib in the weakest three beans be in the strongest just tap that after you put the disc in before you push the teardrop start

    So if you’re programming a cappuccino , is it (1) for the milk & then (2) for the coffee ?

    • @mgtracey
      @mgtracey  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You don’t need to program the barcode will set it up just remember give the milk a good shake then put that one in first and then coffee second

    I don't suppose anyone knows of a hot water disc that works with the My Way 2? We just replaced our ancient, much loved and very well used T65 after it started leaking everywhere for the second time (I replaced a bunch of internal part last time it happened) and was sad to find the hot water disc from the T65 doesn't fit, and the barcodes (after removing them) aren't recognised by the My Way 2. I know you can use the service disc but the nozzle has to remain in place so you get coffee flavoured water.

    • @mgtracey
      @mgtracey  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not sure I fully understand . The yellow or Orange cleaning disc that came with the my way two will just run hot water through . If you don’t have a my way disc they are on Amazon

    • @ferrumignis
      @ferrumignis ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mgtracey We had a hot water disc for the T65 that we bought separately (they are still available on Amazon etc) This is a combined disc and nozzle, with four separate bar codes you can choose by rotating the body to select water quantity. The normal T-disc nozzle has to be removed to use it which means you don't get coffee tainted hot water.
      This disc doesn't fit properly into the My Way, so the lid won't close and even if that worked it doesn't recognise the bar codes (could work around that by using codes from real T discs).
