I am Australian and we have temperatures closer the true Christmas. have a look at the temperature in Jerusalem at Christmas - it is likely to be 18C and guess what - no snow to be seen!!!
Coming to Australia from Denmark, must admit, weather is very different. Often insanely hot, but the sun improves the mood.Still plenty of times and places where it gets bitterly cold, Australia has vast snowfields.
And lots of snow, but only in winter! 😄
Texas is one of the most free and spacious states of America, but it would still be a tough place to bring up kids! Community care is still very strong in Australia, and the huge outdoor lifestyle here is safe and mostly free! 🤗
Nagh it's soccer here in Australia. Footy/football is either NRL if your from Qld or NSW and the rest of the states it's AFL. The biggest culture shock I reckon moving from America is that you can go to the shops knowing that you ain't gonna get shot.
Where I live Dandenong you can play Soccer, AFL, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Gaelic football and Grid Iron.
In Australia, we call Soccer, Soccer. The Oxford University in England called it assoccer” (association football) in the 1980's and it was shortened to Soccer.
Some people call it "soccer" some of us call it "football"... Just because you say it one way doesn't make it the "Australian" way to say it!
@bobbrewer5182 Yes, there is a minority in Australia that call it football. I call it kick and giggle.
Hi there from Western Australia. We have a teacher shortage here, so you may be able to get a visa. Teaching does pay okay here, too. My sister teaches in a Primary School.
The only difference is that we use British English, so some words are spelt differently, i.e., colour instead of color.
It’s against the law in Australia to pay someone less than $25 per hour. Waiters, McDonald’s workers, anyone.
Just over $23 is the minimum wage for adults. Hence, why fast food predominantly hires people under 18.
Ah, football, or footy for short, can refer to Soccer (international), Gridiron (USA), Aussie Rules (Australia), Rugby Union (International), Rugby League (International), Gaelic (UK), and any number of sports and games with smaller followings involving a ball that is kicked.
The gun laws don't mean Aussies don't own guns. But you do have to go through a few hoops to get a licence including a background check. There's just not that many people interested in owning one
Australia calls it soccer !
Yes, we already had Football in AFL and Rugby, it had to be Soccer! 🧐
The people who walk barefoot live mostly in Queensland which lies in the tropics, while the rest of Aussies wear shoes.
We also call Soccer as Soccer.
You have em in nsw, particularly indigenous Aussies do it, and rightfully so, plus walking bare foot is just gonna make your feet way stronger, way healthier to walk barefoot
In Western Australia it's not uncommon to see people going barefoot in Perth and very common in country towns
Don’t generalise. It mostly happens near the beach or in low socioeconomic places. If you live in the city - any where in Australia - going barefoot is bogan AF
To us in Australia, Gridiron is a minority sport as is baseball. It’s all relative.
high schools here, have compulsory sports, not sure what they call it these days, but they have teachers that teach all types of sports etc, so you could possible get a job teaching here lol
Australians also call it Soccor because Football means NRL or AFL.
I can attest to the working hard part, there is a caveat that if things are busy and shit needs to get done and you're in a busy period usually late in the year early next year sorta thing, you gotta change gears as we say, and pick up the pace.
Get the job done, relax later! 👍
@@jenniferharrison8915 exactly mate
We has a fire in our factory a few years back. Kind of "fix it or we're done" situation, so everyone was putting in the big ones. There was a team of Japanese engineers working on the drives. After a little while they wanted to go home because we work too hard.
@@campbeld63 🙋👍
Let the fans know if you come to Australia, we'll go to a game together or something, shiiiiii mane.
Nahhhh yall gotta come over here bro! BIG DAR
Australian Alps gets more snow then the Swiss Alps 😂 no joke
Yet people forget how massive Australia is and how diverse it is.
No soccer is called a wog ball here.😂
England came up with soccer.
Association Football! 👍
But, don't they get salty when you point that out? They get very defensive.
@@glenmale1748 Yes, they would argue all day that we are totally wrong! 🧐
It's soccer in aus
Australians call football soccer as well. 🙄🙄
In 2024. Sadly most people working to live with the prices of EVERYTHING going up
Teach online? Ask Ross. He's a teacher.
Nah mate, we call Soccer, soccer..
Mate if you are a teacher your in! I live in south australia and we currently have a teacher shortage so you would meet imigration requirements. Just saying.
This guy is white so his experience about racism is from a third person perspective. As a person of color living in Australia, racism in this land is insane. The way this country deal with racism is denial, denial, and denial. I experienced racism in the states (NYC and Baltimore), but here is the next level.
Get back to where you came from.
You’re full of sh#t, trying to pull out the race card. Australia is one of the most multiculturalism countries in the world, we accept everyone of all walks of life even when they disrespect us.
