Its interesting how the sculk horde can put up a fight at all, given the thing's only real weakness is fire which the horde lacks

@@xenomorphtestifyingincourt7412 The damage reduction is 80% for weaker mobs so hard hitting sculk mobs can still kill them, plus they were configured to be made vulnerable by some of the sculk's debuffs
When Scape and Run 1.16 drops its going to be massively chaotic and fun to have it face off against other infection mods

Sculk horde is an interesting way to bring something like Scape And Run:Parasites to modern versions while also making it look vanilla
I think the Sculk Horde isn’t that similar to Scape And Run in terms of infection. In fact, there seems to be no mob infection besides the mites. Sculk Horde feels like if Scape And Run did mainly biome infection instead of mob infection.
If you want it to be a fair fight put down a ancient sculk node and two normal nodes
The ancient one can be gotten through /give
You need the node’s because it affects the graveminds intelligence. ( the sculks iq)
Also I’ve been testing these vs in more fair settings and the sculk has beaten spore I haven’t tried this one.
I’d advise a flat world with the three sculk nodes one being the ancient one placed in a line fifty blocks apart and then the spore or other mods main mobs put roughly one hundred blocks away
To activate the ancient node you need to trigger a sculk sensor near it in survival mode

The logical endpoint to this video's premise is slapping together Sculk horde, Scape and Run, From Another World, Fungal Infection:Spore, and Infectum and having them fight to the death in a free-for-all.

What if Fungal infection fights infection from Another World?
Edit: i'll checked MC versions for those mods and as now, this is impossible...

Cool video, the only problem is that the sculk hord can do nothing since the thing take no damage of they are not in fire its a similar with scape and run with the adaptation to damage of the parasites
The next beta will make their damage reduction configurable so hopefully that will make it possible for future battles to be more fair

It makes a bit of sense though since the mod is inspired by The Thing but having it be completely immune unless it's on fire and having it spawn so early doesn't make it seem very balanced for Vanilla, despite what the mod author says. But that's just my opinion and I still recommend having mods that add Flamethrowers, it's also thematically appropriate.
@@kabob0077 you Can easily kill the thing with a lava trap and you Can scare it with a flint and steel, i just think off would be cool if you Can turn it off for a mob fight

I played the heck of halo 1 2 and 3 when I was a kid/teen

the 2 day and night cycles were so synced with it.
also imagine if the 2 infections could mix, both the people who created the sculk infection and the other one work together to make one whole infection.
Parasite vs spore could be interesting as both infect the ground and create colonies.
the parasites mod is still on 1.12.2 so it can't be used with mods for newer versions

i definitely heard the Halo, and i think it's Three Gates from Halo 3, but i could be wrong

Imagine if the skulk infection can spawned in a warden
they would be one of the strongest I put a warden against spores sieger and warden managed to win warden would make the sulk almost impossible if they summoned hundreds of wardens and enderman only problem is that the warded will attack allies due to the fact it was programmed to kill anything but itself

@@user-Pies163 yea though it wouldn't be all that great of an infection to only be able to spawn 2 even if they grew too exponential size especially since spore can have as many siegers as they want

@@user-Pies163 makes it too easy for any infection mod to kill it, if sculk gonna try to win it needs hundreds of op mobs not just 1 or 2

It's based on the movies called The Thing lol
It's based of Frozen Hell/Who Goes There? which was the inspiration for The Thing From Another World and eventually John Carpenter's The Thing (and the 2011 Prequel that corporate meddling ruined). It's The Thing, every form it has is some form The Thing took in either Frozen Hell/Who Goes There? The Thing From Another World, or The Thing or is inspired by something from one of those.

Btw, there is a certain mod which allows you to change tickspeed, which would help in timelapses.
Tickspeed basically changes how fast time goes by in-game.

Horde vs wither storm vs fungal infection vs the thing vs scape & run. In survival mode.
5 to 10 graveminds in spawn with that wheel thing to attract the wither.
Bet wither will win.
The thing's infection simply spreads too fast and creates too powerfull creatures for sculk to handle.

I’m honestly a bit confused as to why the Sculk Horde doesn’t ever really spawn Wardens, which are by far the strongest of the Sculk mobs
There's no way to do it without modifying vanilla code and the developer of the sculk horde mod doesn't want to do that (don't ask me why, I don't know) and there's also a lore reason that I can't remember
