I don't want to compare you with Southgate but aren't you being a bit conservative? I reckon it's worth getting rid of all players out of the tournament and taking hits (16 for me) this matchday to be better set up for the last rounds. Especially true if you always use your bench. Having done that, my worst case (England, Italy & Spain all lose,) will just leave me one player short and best case I'll have a full team + bench, all paid for.
But you'll get 10 transfers for semi + final combined. Feels worth not taking too many hits now. But it might be worth it. We shall find out after this weekend 😀

Same situation (4 italian, 0 spain, 2 denmark, 1 belgium that is KDB). My strategy is to have 11 players on the pitch (3 def, 3 mid and 3 strikers). So If I'm sure that KDB will start, I will hit -4 with one extra sub (7+4), otherwise -8 with two extra subs (7+5) without changing KDB (if belgium wins I will have a player). Obviously it also depends on your league and the position in which you are.
You should have used that during the group stages and kept the wildcard for now, if you still have it then use it now cos youll get 5 transfers for the semis

Yh just start praying to the euro gods. Jk, in the same boat. I feel like using the limitless here is a good choice, there are more players you can pick from who could get a goal instead of saving it for a final. At least this way you dont take a hit and you can use your 5 transfers next round for guaranteed players.
