Almost all developers have already said that they will not be charging the update fee. It will literally take less than an hour to make each plane 100% compatible with 2024.
Not if Asobo has change sim variable naming, and/or, modified them. Fixing that is a bigger headache than you think since almost every aspect of an aircraft involves many, many variables. This will also impact all controllers. If MS/Asobo has provided variable mapping tools to aircraft makers, I assume the same help will be shown towards controllers.
I really hope my mouse (a basic, wired Microsoft one) works on my Xbox X when I move over to MSFS 2024. It’s worked for about three of the hundreds of flying hours I’ve logged on MSFS 2020. I’ve managed to get by without it until recently when I bought the IndiaFoxtEcho F35 and it’s sadly an absolute cluster trying to operate the information panel in that with the controller! Also as a Brit and an Anglophile, I’ve bought all the ORBX UK area upgrades. I’m not worried about them not working in 2024, as they’ve served their purpose and positive that even the generic scenery in the new release is going to be an upgrade. I’ve got as ready as I can be by upgrading the wifi to Full Fibre broadband! 🤞
Hello Huddison a Question sorta fixes subject here "Added Peripheals" . I have the Logitech G13 which is nice and works well , but is a added item and does take a good 5v line at least 3amps or better. What am asking is I did program the number keys "above the letter keys to views i like, But its a to hand deal well to figures. What I want to do use the Number Key PADS hoping one figure punch view is in. maybe this might been taken up sometime as I am new to group and might miss it . I am thinking hand on the control and hand on lookey lol. Again like always enjoy the videos better the TV shows Commercials !! Dale By way little English Toung I notice? @@Huddisonsame question here - I have a custom Arduino/Airmanager “instrument” that I use to simulate keyboard entries via preprogrammed onscreen push buttons vs actually using a keyboard. Took a while to develop and I certainly don’t relish going into the Arduino again if I don’t have to . As they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it…
Unfortunately, if MS/Asobo has changed sim variable naming (and it looks like they have if controllers are, indeed, having issues) - then, every air manager instrument will have to be corrected to use FS2024. What Asobo SHOULD do is provide automatic mapping of the old to new variable names. It's possible they will be too lazy to do that.
Ive stopped buying ANY scenery type mods. If the new sim is what they say it will be, then it seems that scenery mods shouldnt really be needed, or may at least be a different type mod.

Great input my friend. Let's hope this is truly the case; there's a lot of ambiguity on this matter.

I think you'll be fine ;)

It might be best asking this from our Discord crowd (link in the description).
I have the feeling that, based on their business practices so far, Captain Sim will quite likely charge an update fee...
FCK CS!
It'll be interesting to see what happens.
Good vid, thanks. So far the only thing that worries me is the comment last week about it not being playable without being online. Any news on that?
I know as much as you on that currently.
I do hope the Virpil’s new yoke is compatible 🙏🙏🙏
It's very likely all Yokes and Hotas's etc, will be compatible - just like with MSFS 2020 on PC.
Why not?
We are not going back to the Stone Age.
feels sad for Xbox users cause I care and I wont worry about 2024 till next Spring or Summer , got a load or Aircraft to enjoy in the meantime in 2020
FS2020 is really all we need eh ;)
Remember, remember, the 19th of November,
Asobo , treason and plot.
I see no reason
Why I wont get 2024
2020 Should ever be forgot.
Asobo, Asobo , 'twas their intent
To mess up our enjoyment
Poor old flight simmers
God save the King!
I still think 2020 is still a superb sim considering how much we have all invested in it
Mr. Huddison, any chance you could do a tutorial on custom wing views on an A320 Neo with and or without camera config ??😊
I'll see if I can fit that in with another video or project.
So does the Thrustmaster Airbus Edition Yoke and Joystick works in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024?
Pretty much everything will work on PC FS2024. I don't own the Airbus FS, but it should be fine also on Xbox.
What do you think about air manager. Do you think it will be supported or ready to work from the start?
It's not an addon I've tried or looked into tbh.

@@ChrisM541 yet another reason to wait until all this shakes out
Will my honeycomb Alpha throttle and Logitech yoke work with msfs 2024?
I can confirm that Honeycomb works well with FS2024.
GREAT just got scared because I just bought it for msfs2024 and I it didn’t work that would of have been not sooo good 👍

Fair point 👍
Will the thrust master Boeing yoke still work with msfs 2024?
I’m on Xbox btw
I would imagine it'll work fine.
How much hard drive space will be ideal
We don't know, as of yet.
I'm confused. Hasn't 2024 already been released? I'm pretty sure that's what I downloaded back in February of this year.
2024 doesn't release until November. What you have is MSFS 2020.
If you already have FS2024, then I need your address 😁
As mentioned: you have almost certainly, downloaded and installed FS2020 in the year 2024.
Ummmmm Can I come over with my Yoke and Pedals? My mom can talk to you mom and I'll bring HotPockets
You are most definitely confused 😂
Hi
Hello
I don't really care. I've grown tired of constantly having to upgrade my pc to keep up and the mega downloads every few months.
That can get wearisome.
@@Huddison MSFS has become a bloated monster for folk with very deep pockets and super fast internet. I'm out.
