You mean it’s even harder than it looks?? I think it looks pretty hard lol, but the end result is much better than “tightening” the strings with hair elastics 😂 And yes restuffing the doll is way too hard! It’s also gross because you don’t know where secondary dolls have been…
It’s not too challenging, but my wrists were on fire during the voice over haha 😅🫶🏻 I’m sure you could do it!! ❤️ I actually got the idea of using the spray from skating rink rentals, that’s all they use to sanitize the skates 😭😅🫣
Thank you Bailey. You did a great job restringing your doll and showing us how! I have problems with carpal tunnel too and I feel like this would be hard for me! You had some great tips for not letting the strings show or be felt. I agree that repetition is the Mother of learning. 🥰
Thank you!! If you wanted to attempt a restringing, I would suggest warming the limbs for a few minutes longer than I did, and maybe do one limb a day. I know it’s hard to space out fun doll projects but I’m considering doing that for my next restringing 🫶🏻❤️ Thank you for your comment ❤️
Hi new to your channel ❤I haven’t restrung my dolls but I have just put hair ties to tighten their limbs and you really show how to do it I will soon will try it myself thanks
Great video. The only thing I would add as someone who has restrung dozens of dolls is that you can use a hair dryer to heat up the limbs. It takes not even a couple of minutes and your limb is soft and ready to pull out the cups. Same thing for heating them up to put back the cups in with the new strings. I don’t do knots at the end of the elastics, I use a lighter to melt down the ends instead. Everyone has their way of doing things I guess.
You are an awesome teacher! Better explanation and more realistic than other restringing videos I’ve seen. I’ve only done this once and it didn’t turn out as well as yours. I used new stuffing and it seemed almost impossible to get it firm enough - that’s one reason to reuse the stuffing.
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate your feedback, I’m glad it was helpful! ❤️ That’s interesting about the new stuffing, even reusing the stuffing is a challenge to get it perfect 🫶🏻
@@americangirlfilms the way my daughter plays with some of her dolls sometimes, I'll sure they will need fixed at some point. Thank you, I'll message you for sure if I have ant questions when that time comes.

Fantastic tutorial. I recently started using a heat gun because I was tired of working with boiling water haha
@@nocstindolly1010 Thank you! You’re the second person to suggest a heat gun, I’ll have to try it next time!! ❤️
