Nice video, thanks! How do you go about playing Rebel with the Jinx Sevika augment? Would you try fitting in Sevika or just sell her and look for a more synergistic unit like Ekko/Elise? In my case, I had no items for her and she died super quicklyy because I also didn't manage to find Illaoi 2
Ty for the guide! I have one question about frontline since illaoi is so contested, assuming you roll down at 4-2 and hit pairs of zoe illaoi and a garen2 how weaker is it to slam garen and keep the worst rebel units like vex akali sett and just econ to go 9 and look for jinx?
Not aesah but I'm in his study group - I'd suggest not angling rebel if you look around and see 2-3 other players angling rebel or academy. Illaoi is sort of irreplaceable in the rebel line and having him be 3+ way contested is a death sentence. You can typically find out by mid stage 3 if this will be the case and try to hold diff units to pivot by then. In these spots typically angling silco is higher EV since you can use similar items and you'll hit way faster than everyone else. Bonus points holding any illaoi and Zoe on your rolldown to make it even harder for your contested opponents to hit.
Isn't guinsoo much better than shojin on Zoe (as a replacement)? Actually, if you go to explorer and filter 7 rebel 2star zoe 3items then excluding shojin on zoe will give you a negative delta.
This could be stats being misleading. Shojin is needed for jinx third cast since you’re not killing backline without that. Rageblade on zoe opens up that option and leaves you an extra sword for ie or gs. Maybe try the explorer with guinsoos zoe + no shojin on jinx and compare it to shojin zoe + shojin on jinx. Would be interesting to see what the stats show
@@hen665 No I tried excluding shojin on zoe and it gives negative data which includes both the situation of jinx having shojin and not having shojin. But I tried to play with explorer further anyways. 1. 7 rebel both jinx and zoe 2 star with 3 items on zoe 2+ items on jinx. When jinx has shojin, excluding shojin on Zoe gives -0.01. 2. same as above except that jinx doesn't have shojin, excluding shojin on zoe gives -0.01 again. The reason why I use excludes instead of the other way around is well explained by Aesah's earlier video about how to check on stats. The conclusion is, shojin on zoe is just straight worse than guinsoo. Also, jinx doesn't like guinsoo so build guinsoo + shojin gives both of them BIS, and it makes more sense with item economy. BTW the explorer setting you suggested doesn't make any sense, you are just comparing two irrelevant situations and you cannot draw any reasonable conclusion about whether shojin is good or bad on Zoe with it, you are just adding confounding variables to make the situation more complicated/specific. In the first case you suggested it was straight up low roll on item economy and you cannot get any shojin, while in the second situation it is the opposite. If the second situation yields a better performance it only means that shojin on Jinx is more important or BIS on Jinx is more important than Zoe. which makes sense because the comp just doesn't function without a functioning Jinx. It is completely off topic (we are discussing about Zoe's BIS).
I always feel like rebel is SOOO bloody weak mid game, even after hitting Rebel 7 you get a brief moment of 2-3 wins max and then it’s all downhill again until you land 2 stars in everything which by then I’m usually dead because I was so weak early and mid game and lost all my HP.
This comp feels so reliant on hitting your 2 star Illaoi + Zoe and then finding a Jinx, even with really good augments and luck I can barely get a top 4, way too hard to hit compared to other comps imo.
but like how do i just hit jinx i cant play a comp that relies on hitting a 5 star on 8 or just getting it off carousel. ill jsut die out going for 9 and even if i hit it its not a winout at 9 so like WHERE AM I GETTING JINX FROM
I usually Lose streak early, then try to tempo and win late stage 3 into wolves and throughout 4. Early Ilaoi/ Ambessa or Rebel +1 really helps here. That should get you to 9. But even w BIS it's hard to winout without really good positioning.
I hit 7 Rebel and Jinx all 2 star w Ekko 2 Ambessa 2 and still lost to quickstikers and went 5th. Fun times. Definitely need this guide.
i guess Illaoi 2 is just really important to tank, otherwise the front line gets quickly smoked
