It's nice to see you visit Sri Lanka and thank you for doing so. Please do visit again and enjoy going to some of the other lesser visited cities as well, I'm sure you will enjoy it very much. By the way, all those fine ultra-modern, luxury buildings and developments you were admiring were all initiated and started by the so-called government you claimed to have run the country bankrupt and into a China debt trap. If there is a debt trap of any kind, its one created by Western organizations such as the World Bank, IMF and the likes who forever want to see us struggle and crawl on our fours. When you visit a country, best leave that country's political and economic issues to that country's locals, they know best about their internal issues way better than anyone else. What you've drawn from is absolute nonsensical rubbish floating around on social media mostly created by Western media giving the rest of the world a completely incorrect picture of Sri Lanka. China has been a great friend of Sri Lanka. There are so many things the Chinese government gifted to Sri Lanka .ex: BMICH, COLOMBO SUPREME COURT COMPLEX, MANY IRRIGATION PROJECTS AND DAMS, MANY BRIDGES AND ROADS. HOSPITAL S SPECIALLY KIDNEY HOSPITAL WITH THOUSAND BEDS.
SCHOOLS AND SCHOOL EQUIPMENTS , UNIFORM Materials FOR 4 MILLION STUDENTS. Military EQUIPMENT AND training during the terrorist war . massive list all gifts. It was never a debut trap as you and western media called due to pandemic and two years closure no exports no tourists was the reason for the economic crisis.
China is still helping in a big way without publicising.
Hope you will visit at least BMICH.

Pickme is 10%-20% cheaper than IndianUBER in Sri Lanka.
Whereever Pickme is not avail try Uber and avoid 3wheelers stands at all times which says their taxi meter is not working..., and 3rdly if Uber also fails. stop 3 wheelers travelling on the road with a Green or Red TAXI LED lighted Board..

Thanks for your feedback! We didn’t realize stock footage had an expiration date. Unfortunately, drones aren’t allowed in Sri Lanka, so we had to work with what we had. If you’ve got newer footage, we’d love to see it!
@@bztravel Stock footage do get an expiration date around cities unfortunately, especially when they show unfinished buildings that were actually finished ages ago. Drones are allowed with special permissions but its cumbersome to get them. All the best with your travels and VLOGs.!

Hi, thanks for covering Sri Lanka. I'd recommend not talking about politics of SL. It's a controversial topic. And also appreciate it if you can not include Indian music in the background next time. SL and India are two different countries with different cultures. Cheers.
Appreciate your thoughts! We include music that fits the vibe, and since Western music is usually accepted, we assumed Indian would be fine too. As for politics and history, we share what we hear from guides and locals without taking sides. From the feedback, it’s clear Sri Lanka has its complexities, which is part of what makes it so fascinating.
Locals average monthly salary around 150$. So, is it unfair to have to have 2 & 20 compared to other countries.
Thanks for bringing this up! For us, $20 to visit the tower felt reasonable, but we can see how having two prices might feel unfair, especially with visitors from countries with similar income levels to Sri Lanka. It was just an observation on our part.

Thank you for your comment! As Westerners, distinguishing the origin of music can be challenging, and finding royalty-free music is always a bit of work. Since there’s a part of the population in Sri Lanka with Indian roots, we didn’t think it would be an issue. If Western music is commonly used in backgrounds, why should Indian music be seen as propaganda?
