Biblically you are right, I agree with most of this. I fear though when we marginalize others that call Jesus Lord and call them false or heretics or apostates etc, we then take on a place of judgement that is bigger than us. In the context of the one divine person, I was a little surprised by this prayer dialogue between the Lord Jesus and the Father, such a conversation of self with self, but actually the scripture says that God is one, and from this it may follow that the prayer of Jesus is also a guideline for us how we humans should pray. You can only understand that truth by revelation. You will never get it studying the bible. If there was a debate by the best theologians, the arian will bring first followed by the trinitarian. When I did not know religion as a child, I loved Jesus. I would just look at his pictures in story books. In my later teenage years I became a jehovahs witness and became very convinced that Jesus was subordinate to the father. But Jesus removed that veil. Rather than the three constumes illustration, I see One God. One person as having three different modes of conscienceness. Just as man is one person but has a spirit, soul and body, which is in image of God. So God has a Spirit, Soul and body. Jesus bless you.

Peeacher. I know a man who takes steroids and smokes Marijuana. He comes to our Bible study. Can you please coach me on how to talk to him about it? What verses, temperament and words should I say to him? I think he needs to repent of it but I need to be able to foresee his objections and wisely reply. Thanks in advance.

it's very dangerous. when I was at the orthodox, before Jesus got me out of there and delivered me, I was doing that and I always felt it was totally wrong. and I didn't really know what, but I felt that I was sinning against God by that, every time.

The Bible clearly tells that God is 3 seperate persons in 1, the Trinity. The Bible says his ways are higher than ours, and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts. While we grow in our walk with God we absolutely sin less and get stronger to resist temptation. Though, we WILL fail a LOT along the way. @OpenAirPreacher I'm just saying I'm not perfect and am always improving. He is working in my life. That's for sure! The only reason I am alive is due to His will. I was born into sin, and only King Jesus can wash it away and make me truly clean. I still mess up simple stuff like language, yet I know I am saved through belief in Him and His sacrifice on the cross. It's my belief in Him I am saved and the faith that follows is a gift. Nice way of understanding and closer to reality then the general christian. But the 1 main thing of understand you are missing as all humans do, the All-knowing GOD. To be All-knowing ONE needs to be outside of space and time, the only place to observe the whole future and understand all. By definition nothing inside time or space can be All-knowing, they just do not have the time or space for it to know and understand all. But inside of time there can be a spirit that knows the most of all spirits, the first born most likely. GOD outside of time divides Himself up into separate observers inside of time that have the illusion of being individuals. Made in HIS image. Jesus could never have been GOD the all-knowing, but He could have been God the highest soul in the heavens inside time. Being One with the Father does not mean equal, it means to be fully humbled to listen to the communication of the All-knowing. To fully obey and understand the communication of the All-knowing, that was His main teaching.

John 17:3 and 1 Corinthians 8:6. Beware of explanations that are outside of the Bible. God created through Christ. Christ Jesus is the Son of God, the Son of the Father. You can find this in the Bible. Jesus was given all power, someone had that power to give. John 3:16. Don't allow anyone to confuse you about the seperate personalities of the Father and the Son. The holy spirit is that spirit of Christ whereby we call Aba, Father. 2 Corinthians 3:17. You're not too far, just make sure you read 1 Corinthians 15:27-28. It will make perfect sense.

A name is given to a person or a thing by someone else to differentiate it from everthing else. God does not need a name, for there is only one. Jesus took on a material human body, there are many humans, so a need for a name was called for. Father (God), no name, HolySpirit(no name), Jesus...name!

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you. However, if all 3 attributes are but 1, why would Jesus ask, during His crucifixion, "Father, why hast thou forsaken me?" To whom was He lamenting?

Perhaps I'm thinking too much from my own perspective. Certainly, if I were to pick up an old corded telephone back in the day, and someone would ask who I'm calling, and I'd reply that I'm calling myself to ask myself why I didn't get the grass mowed, that person would've called the guys in white scrubs to have me hauled off to the asylum because I'd be asking myself a question and it'd be seen as multiple personality disorder. I'm not being irreverent, but rather just trying to come to terms with the notion of He being 1...yet if He is one wearing 3 different hats, so to speak, then again, why would He need to ask a question about anything?

the godhead can very much be a salvation issue.. let me help.. the Jehovah witnesses say Jesus is the archangel Michael and not God manifest in the flesh.. but yet they claim Jesus is part of the godhead... You can only understand that truth by revelation. You will never get it studying the bible. If there was a debate by the best theologians, the arian will bring first followed by the trinitarian. When I did not know religion as a child, I loved Jesus. I would just look at his pictures in story books. In my later teenage years I became a jehovahs witness and became very convinced that Jesus was subordinate to the father. But Jesus removed that veil. Rather than the three constumes illustration, I see One God. One person as having three different modes of conscienceness. Just as man is one person but has a spirit, soul and body, which is in image of God. So God has a Spirit, Soul and body.

it's very dangerous. when I was at the orthodox, before Jesus got me out of there and delivered me, I was doing that and I always felt it was totally wrong. and I didn't really know what, but I felt that I was sinning against God by that, every time.

But the 1 main thing of understand you are missing as all humans do, the All-knowing GOD.
To be All-knowing ONE needs to be outside of space and time, the only place to observe the whole future and understand all.
By definition nothing inside time or space can be All-knowing, they just do not have the time or space for it to know and understand all.
But inside of time there can be a spirit that knows the most of all spirits, the first born most likely.
GOD outside of time divides Himself up into separate observers inside of time that have the illusion of being individuals. Made in HIS image.

A name is given to a person or a thing by someone else to differentiate it from everthing else. God does not need a name, for there is only one. Jesus took on a material human body, there are many humans, so a need for a name was called for. Father (God), no name, HolySpirit(no name), Jesus...name!

@OpenAirPreacher ~ Thank you. I'll keep praying for understanding. I'm a critical thinker, but sometimes my rule of "absolutes" can narrow my focus. Perhaps I'm thinking too much from my own perspective. Certainly, if I were to pick up an old corded telephone back in the day, and someone would ask who I'm calling, and I'd reply that I'm calling myself to ask myself why I didn't get the grass mowed, that person would've called the guys in white scrubs to have me hauled off to the asylum because I'd be asking myself a question and it'd be seen as multiple personality disorder. I'm not being irreverent, but rather just trying to come to terms with the notion of He being 1...yet if He is one wearing 3 different hats, so to speak, then again, why would He need to ask a question about anything?
Perhaps I'm getting closer to understanding it, by the distinction of "Jesus is fully a man in the flesh."
