What ever yarn weight you use, the starting chain will be the same. If you use a 4 weight & find the neck hole to be too big for your liking, go down a hook size or 2. You can then increase your hook size when you start repeating the 2 row repeats.
Love this piece . I’m going to make it a little longer and make it for my mother for her birthday in December, she will be turning 95. Oh and thanks for the great tip re no twisting I needed that one 😊
I really like it both ways. It’s the perfect thing for those cold restaurants in the summer. I don’t know why, but they are starting to freeze me out. I guess they don’t want people to stay longer😂. Thanks for sharing. ❤
do you show in this tutorial the other part that isn't the shell pattern? Is there a written pattern for this. I didn't see a picture of the capelet when you completed it. Thank you
I'm sorry, I don't have a written pattern. I showed myself & my mannequin in the beginning clip wearing the exact same capelet design, in 2 different ways & I included a pic at the very end. Yes, I show how to do all the stitches in the tutorial 💕

Hi Wilma! I pinned a comment to the top regarding the chain.
I want to make this with one of my yarn art cakes. Is it the same starting chain? I saw you used a 3.5 for that yarn
Hi Amber. Yes, the same starting chain.
