I’m so beyond emotional to see my home, portrayed in such a way. I’ve grown up in Suffolk and I went to Sutton Hoo every single year with my Mother and my Brother. It is a place of pure beauty and my Mother’s favourite place on earth. I cannot believe that my home is going to be on a Netflix film, and with such renowned actors too. I CANNOT WAIT

I applied to advert for an actors assistant who had to have a thick suffolk accent, having done a few extra parts and owning a very suffolk accent I applied. I just assumed it would be some kind of self funded Z list movie. So you can imagine my surprise when I turn up, eventually the producer comes to meet me, we walk and talk and she says, so do you know who the actor is, I said no, she smiled and said...Ralph Fiennes.....🤪🥴🥺😮😯... I've never felt so nervous and excited in my whole life. I got to meet a hero and read lines for him which he recorded. What an amazing experience, he was very kind, warm and welcoming and showed a genuine interest in talking to me, even though he was there to do research for his job, what a amazing experience and true great and a gentleman.

I watched this film and fell in love with the whole thing. It was beautiful, perfect, beyond emotional and all with impeccable acting and although I've never heard of Carey Mulligan I was truly moved by her outstanding performance. I did some investigating on the true story and knew by research that Edith Pretty was older in real life but never ever questioned that fact with the casting as the whole production carried the story up to the heavens. So earlier today I was astounded to find a posse of critics who are miffed a younger lady was cast as Edith ? Beggars Belief IMHO, ALL the cast were just PERFECT, natural, impeccable and I wouldn't change a thing. And I sobbed so much near the end with Mum and Son laying in the boat gazing up at the stars ... I've never heard such emotional words spoken in such an angelic heartfelt manner in movies or real life. Thank You to ALL the Cast and to Netflix.
