    I'm a late bloomer with GL 1800's bought a 2004 and haven't looked back, thanks to you and Memphis Mike. I had not heard about the Centramatics until I saw you putting them on and thought I would give it a shot. The bike was smooth but it is so much snoother and those weights are gone! Thanks again.. Ride Safe...Look out for them cause they ain't looking for you

    2 suggestions to be safe (if not already mentioned in other comments) is that it is imperative that the mating surfaces (all 4 of them) between wheel, balancer and rotor, MUST MUST MUST be very clean before re-assembly. Any kind of dirt, rust or other oxidation should be removed to leave bare metal surfaces.
    Secondly, I would recommend following a standard cross-torquing pattern if Honda does not give one specifically for the brake rotors
    Well done!

    Hello Chris, As I am a F6B rider and in the process of installing the same auto wheel balancers for handling reasons, I know why the the install including the Fork Brace as well! I ride a bit aggressive due to the to the way vehicles seem to be driving these days and I need the stability in handling and maneuvering just to avoid potential accidents. I know these work, from everyone I know that has them.

    It’s worth mentioning that Honda does recommend replacing the rotor bolts as well as the ABS exciter ring bolts. I knew this but I still gambled and reused the old rotor bolts anyway. Bad gamble. I snapped a rotor bolt off in the wheel. It was easy enough to remove but it could have been a costly mistake. My advice would be to spend a few bucks more and get the new bolts.

      Obviously you tighten the bolts too tight, my advice is to spend a few bucks and buy a torque wrench to prevent snapping rotor bolts.

    Hey Chris, after much research and watching your video I've decided to get the Centramatic Wheel Balancers. I'll install them when I get the new tires. If you get a chance, give a comment on them since you've been rolling them for a year.

    Put these on my goldwing last year and love them. After a trip to Florida from Missouri I noticed a big difference in tread ware.Was wondering if you could go over your helmet and Bluetooth set up. The audio between you and other riders is seems to be really good. Thanks and keep putting out videos. Encourages me to get out and ride.

      Ran centramatics on a 1990 Volvo 770 on all three axles. Was a " skeptic" until I tried them, put over a million miles on them, transferred them to a new 780 Volvo. They work as advertised. Have about 3K miles on the Goldwing with them, smooth, no noise, no shaking. Eliminated all the cupping and bouncing on my semi, Goldwing smooth as glass. No longer OTR driver, riding the wing!!

    Brother Chris, very interesting. I've heard of the problems with the Goldwing Wobble but never experienced it. I've gone through one set of tires, first went 11,000 miles without an issue. Will be anxious to hear your report after a few thousand miles. I'm an "If it ain't broke, don't fix it guy" But this is a great option and glad you introduced it.
    Changing subjects, yesterday I drove from Evv, IN to Dallas and drove be Memphis. Got me wondering, have you put together a plan for the Chris Caliente Caravan to WIng Ding 2017? I'm sure given your number of subs, you'd head up quite a "pack" heading that way.

    Hi Chris, I'd be interested to see a follow up after a few thousand miles. Did you have an issue with the way it was handling? Mine rides smooth as glass so I was just wondering if there were any differences since you just put on the new tires. Keep Safe!

      I did not have handling issues on my Wing, the Superbrace was on my accessory list, I've heard that fork stabilizer makes the bike ride better, so I wanted to find out the truth, I will do a later review on the handling.

    Hey Chris, I just had Honda install the Centramatics with new E4's. Did you experience any caliper brake noise after adding them. I know it pushes out the rotors some and guys have said sometimes it takes a little bit for the brakes to readjust. Just curiuos

    Were not the wheels on the Gold Wing already balanced? The GW comes from the showroom floor, as perfectly smooth and balanced as anyone could wish for in a high end, luxury touring motorcycle. An ERM. :-)

    • @chriscaliente5033
      @chriscaliente5033 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tire are perfectly balanced when they are first mounted on the rim, but as the tire wears over time it become out of balance. With Centramatic wheel balance, as the tires wears over time, the internal beads constantly shifts to correct the off balance as a result producing a smooth ride.
