Our Christmas Eve tradition is everyone gets a new ornament and PJs. When we decorate each year, we do it together as a family. ❤ We decorate the house one day and then do the tree together another day. My husband hands out the ornaments so we can all look at them together. I love looking at the ornaments they've recieved over the years, and the ones they've made!! ❤

I love it too as my grandma raised me and it just gives this cozy vibe that you cannot get with stark modern lines or striving for perfection in buying everything brand new. If you start using the program mode and manually update the ISO u can not worry and go with confidence. Photography is also largely personal interpretation. All of your work is beautiful!

Honey I don’t think your Christmas tree is old lady. I think it’s traditional and how it should be. I was only able to put a pencil tree up this year because ( I too was a nurse) and I have some arthritis in one knee and I forgot to ask the kids when they were here at thanksgiving to get my things down for me. I’m not going up to the attic alone if I fall I’m alone. You look darling in your dress. I do have those wreaths and did not spend much either. I’ll be alone for Christmas so pencil tree is perfect. Oh gosh TH-camrs decorate way too early. I just put my tree up yesterday ( Dec 19). I am from Puerto Rico and yes our Christmas celebration is very long into January :)
I recently FERMENTED mu Rolled Oats before I tried them in a new Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookie Recipe. I was EXTREMELY PLEASED with the Texture! It was Smooth w/o the hard chew you get with Raw Oats...a great use for Raw Milk Whey, as I added about a 1/4 cup to the water to cover. Let rest for 4-6 hours.😉👍🏼 Fermenting the Grain makes it more easily digestible.
P.S. - I love that you take your own photos of the food you make, & they are good❗️ Some YTbers use Stock Photos or "Plagiarized Photos" for their Blog Posts, which I don't like because it feels Disengenous❗️😉👍🏼

Is it the same for cakes? I made 3 trial loaf cakes and added 1/2 cup starter to each. Two (both lemon flavored) came out really dense.They rose/ puffed up really nice but fell after being removed from the oven. That resulted in a dense loaf closer to the gummy side than I'd care for.

Help! Sourdough lemon drop cookies spilled all over the baking sheet into oven! I followed the measurements although 2.5 cups flour doesn’t seem enough? What did I do wrong? Love the recipe concept and willing to try again but worse than burnt popcorn is burnt cookies because of the butter …made a complete mess of my oven!
Hers seemed to spread out a bit as well. Try refrigerating the dough overnight, leave out on the counter for ~30 min so the dough is soft enough to scoop onto the pan just before baking. A lot of people have this problem with liquid browned butter. Also, if the browned butter smells "popcorny" you may have burnt it while attempting to brown it, by about 30 seconds.

We actually had a screen there since this was our first time having a little one and a wood stove but one of the first words he learned was HOT! Lol, I think seeing the flame through the glass must trigger something instinctual bc he never goes past the hearth and says hot and points any time there’s a fire - so no screen now!
