- Former Reform UK deputy leader Ben Habib has expressed his “long held concern” on the leadership of the party, which is causing him to consider his position.
Reform announced the parliamentary roles their MPs will be taking on as leader Nigel Farage aims to “professionalise” the party.
MP Richard Tice moves from the role of chairman to become deputy leader replacing Mr Habib, while Lee Anderson MP will become the chief whip.
Mr Habib has been a major player in Reform, serving as a Member for the European Parliament for the then-Brexit Party.
Kevin O’Sullivan and Isabel Oakeshott discuss the story.

I hope Ben stays with reform
Ben should be given the role as spokesman for Reform but not as a political activist. He a brilliant eloquent man and would be a great asset to Reform.

Ben is an absolute treasure and he's fought so hard for Reform over the last few months.
He needs to stay because I think reform will lose voters if he doesn't for the way he's been treated.

Ben, everyone is urging you to stay with the Reform Party, the party AND the people need you as a strong supporter against the past Tory and future Labour political tyranny. As an early and young party the changes are needed to create a stronger presence in the house. That does NOT mean you are not needed and please know that there is a real position in the near future for you to represent British people in the true democracy that you yourself has fought for. Please hang on in there Ben you are not being cast aside, you still have a strong voice to speak for us.

Ben should become Director of Communications - responsible for selling Reform's message to the media and public. He resonates with millions of people in this country.

Reform UK needs to get on top of its website.
There should be a statement from Nigel Farage on the website about this decision as the people who put their money into this deserve to be kept informed about the decision-making processes.
It is odds on that Starmer will sneak us back into the EU but dress it up as something like, "Closer co-operation while strengthening national sovereignty." That's what politicians do, they put a tutu on a pig and call it a ballerina.

Ben Habib still remains a stalwart of the Reform UK and its continued build...love listening to Isabel's perspective, her straightforward views, common sense, and chat. Boston and Skegness (East Lincolnshire is magnificent Isabel and Richard).
Reform is not one person. It is a movement, a peaceful revolution. We have to work, we have to prevail. The alternative to Reform is obvious.
United Kingdom is Hell on Earth.
If Reform is to be the party of the future then that would automatically imply that many people, including Ben Habib, are going to be MPs who are currently not MPs. That means we need people like him who are prepared to wait patiently for Parliamentary status are needed more than ever.
Ben is a trusted standard bearer for the party. Do not get so arrogant that the leaders of the party think they know all, you don’t

Ben could have been offered an important role in building a proper democratic party structure. To sack him without saying thank you and without giving him that role is not very statesmanlike.

Do not be naive. Nigel Farage has history of behaving the same with the Brexit Party and UKIP. Democratic structure is alien to Farage. He told us all up front he likes the way that Putin run things. Surely Ben could not have expected to keep his position when he was not elected. He should not have thrown his toys out of the pram so early, and so publicly. Loyalty to the Party comes before personal considerations.

Just to say- they were not voted in to be ‘model MPs’ and worry about what they looked like. I would not vote for them again if they partied up to the Tories or even accepted certain Tory members to join Reform. Boris or Cameron in particular.

The English wrote the laws of football. The game was then introduced to the rest of the world by British missionaries. The first federations, clubs and leagues were all here. A number of our leading clubs were originally Church or factory teams.
We have no idea who is in our country with really small boats coming through the channel undetected, even in darkness. They can remain undetected for years and know they are unlikely to be sent to another country if discovered. It may be time to introduce identity cards, as Tony Blair suggested, as not having to have IDs is a draw for the criminals.
Ben should be given & hold a proper role in Reform. He obviously feels he has been used, & I can see this. I can honestly say, that this hasn’t gone down well with myself & other Reform voters.
Make Ben a peer, then he can go into the commons just like Cameron did.
