He is correct that it is extremely likely that the vast majority of these people will be net beneficiaries of our welfare systems rather than net contributors. So, Irish people are(and will be) essentially paying for this.
Have to make more than 45K per annum to pay into yhe system? i've never had a job over 30K and yet i'd pay €100 a week tax. How does that make mathematical sense?
"I wonder why?" Irish families not having enough children and large emigration of Irish to the UK or USA. Native populations do this to themselves - don't blame immigrants for being brought in to do those jobs.

Citizenship is the objective, it's forever. Low wages, applying for social housing, children's allowance and other benefits, education, medical etc etc Not built up enough credit to draw from the system. The benefits take are availed of immediately. Family reunification is another issue.
People aren't interested in GDP. Who gives a feck. What people care about is not being asked and being overrun with millions of useless gimmigrants. The Irish are diverse enough. Check their DNA. Our governments are corrupt complicit and tresanous. 😮
Cormac makes a very good point on our tax system where if u earn less than €40k u hardly pay any tax and therefore dont contribute to the funding of the state but yet those people use the services of the state like health, education, social services, justice, garda etc. Most migrants coming into the country would earn less than €40k
@sky-magentatyr5234 I think it's big business pressure on Government so that they can continue to pay low wages. There is however, the reality that we could not run a wide range of our services without foreign labour like tourist industry, hotels, shops, health and social services, care for elderly, agriculture, food processing , construction etc. It's a chicken and egg situation though because the more people that come in the more services we need to cater for those people.

There should be financial incentives offered to the natives to have more children. It's really a matter of life or death of our country and people.
