FYI in the US the legal definition of the word "unarmed" specifically only pertains to firearms. It doesn't pertain to knives, swords, machetes, or any blade weapons - even chainsaws. So when the media reports that police ended an "unarmed black man/woman," 9 times out of 10 they were armed with a blade. The media just knows they can get away with this piece of IegaI technicality. I guarantee you some news outlets are already covering _this_ incident as "...unarmed black woman."
It's a technicality, but not a legal one. A blade still counts as lethal force, which constitutes a lethal response. This is why you may consider one with a drawn blade to be armed for the purpose of self defense.
I remember how vehemently outspoken they once were when it came to DEMANDING that all police have bodycams. Boy has it backfired on them. Just beautiful.
I always thought it was absurd in video games how a human enemy carrying a melee weapon sees the player pointing a shotgun at his face, and instead of trying to de-escalate the situation to avoid conflict, he charges from 20 meters aways with zero sense of self-preservation. Then I see news like this and realize "oh sh*t, THERE ARE people like that IRL"
BLM is absolutely not dead. People were saying the same thing from 2016 until Saint Floyd (peace be upon him) left us in 2020. It's just not politically useful currently.
The BLM organization and the BLM movement are two different things. There's still plenty of people around where I live with BLM signs in their yards who are not actual members of the BLM organization.
This is splitting hairs. The organization that bears the name is maybe discredited (and this is a big overstatement as only those in the know have realized that this is the case). To the average Joe, BLM is very much still a valid movement. And certainly, the ideas that drove the movement are still very much alive and exerting a large undue influence on society.
Maybe if these people would stop flipping out on other people, they wouldn't get shot. Sonya Massey assaulted that cop, and while you can make a call about use of force, you can also point out that she shouldn't have been flinging boiling water at people. Just saying.
I commented about 2 years ago that the people who demanded cops have bodycame would regret it because they seemed to havw forgotten that THEY'RE on camera as well. It goes both ways but they didn't want to believe it or ACCEPT it but hey. I said my bit, people screeched, I'm just watching their crap fall down.
They never accepted that most of the time when they get shot, it's because they were doing something that risked somebody else's life. They are now learning accountability the hard way.
TH-cam doesn't seem to want people to talk about Sasha Edwards. In fact, the entire media-- both the mainstream legacy and online gonzo mob-- seem to have entirely forgotten Edwards. Either that or there's another more sinister reason for the deliberate blanket avoidance.

Donut operator broke this one down on his channel and did a decent job of breaking down how the cop did all he could to diffuse the situation.

The algorithm never sleeps, never rests
I remember how vehemently outspoken they once were when it came to DEMANDING that all police have bodycams. Boy has it backfired on them. Just beautiful.
Bought large mansion . (With your donations .)
She experienced the "... find out" part of the equation
"Joy Reid got shot?"
🤣🤣☠️☠️
BLM is absolutely not dead. People were saying the same thing from 2016 until Saint Floyd (peace be upon him) left us in 2020.
It's just not politically useful currently.
Ur a useful idiot
A shame the dragon Fentanylius still lives on after his sacrifice.

Shh! Don't give them any October Surprise ideas!
Anyone who has seen that cam footage and seeks to claim it was 'unjustified' is delusional - or blindly pushing a narrative.
Sasha Johnson should be the international face face of bl don't m, shes so much nicer these days and good for comedic relief.
Oh noes, stereotypes being stereotypical 😳 Imagine my shock 😐
Gotta say....I laughed when you said "welfare check"
They shouldve sent a social worker
Thanks for recognizing hypocrisy on both sides, this is encouraging to see.
The lady that got shot was obviously a concord player!
Character model more likely.
@@erikhermansen3431 No reason she can't have been both!
I guess this department does not send social workers for "mental health checks"
BLM is also a movement / ideology and it is still very much alive in that regard.

Right? good ol' RE5 vibes
Yeah, just checked the body cam vid. Cop gave her plenty of time to stand down and it almost cost him his life.
Calling democRATS, left wingers, communists, marxists, BLM and antifa good human beings is like calling shit a tasty candy.
She was 6'5" tall! That's a dangerous woman!
Somebody added Doom sounds and HUD to the bodycam footage.
Funniest thing I've seen for a while.
I love that concord edit
Whatever she was on must have been hella strong.
Testosterone.
The only thing he did wrong was wait too long.
"OH YEEEAH"-her last words
The idea is still alive and in power. It's a shorthand for "the system" the same way terms like "woke" are used.
There is logic to getting ahead given how these stories create a false narrative before the truth can be told.
B lack L adies M urkin'
I pissed myself when you all said Joy Reid got shot!
The BLM organization and the BLM movement are two different things. There's still plenty of people around where I live with BLM signs in their yards who are not actual members of the BLM organization.
Just like the EDL were out in force over the summer (sarcasm)
A distinction without a difference.
It's the Che shirt of race politics
Only yesterday, at the Hamas protest, they were calling Mahyar Tousi "EDL"
This is splitting hairs. The organization that bears the name is maybe discredited (and this is a big overstatement as only those in the know have realized that this is the case). To the average Joe, BLM is very much still a valid movement. And certainly, the ideas that drove the movement are still very much alive and exerting a large undue influence on society.
Stop Asian Hate!
That slogan was sort of dropped after they found out who it was that hated Asians
I’ve seen plenty of American Asian people being hateful towards whites. Not blacks, who seem to target them, but whites.

The cop never got a fair trial, either!
Zombie Apocalypse timeline is becoming more and more belivable...
If they want a real victim to make noise about, they can learn about Sonya Massey.
Problem is the officer is already in jail.

To be fair, whenever anyone's life is being memorialised, if the manner of their death is "negative" (eg suicide), it usually isn't mentioned
This needs background music. DOOM?
The video has already been made.

TH-cam doesn't seem to want people to talk about Sasha Edwards. In fact, the entire media-- both the mainstream legacy and online gonzo mob-- seem to have entirely forgotten Edwards. Either that or there's another more sinister reason for the deliberate blanket avoidance.
How many people can we put on an oil tanker?
Her life mattered, rite up to the point that she threw it away trying to end someone else's.

Yes .
She was not shot by a police officer though.
I don't know what happened to her
I do but everyone lost interest in her when it turned out the shooter wasn't white. Probably not a very nice woman seeing as she was at some druggy all-night party leaving her two young children at home on a school night.
The case was all over the news until they discovered the ethnicity of her killer then total news blackout.
I swear ive seen that image years ago as apart of a comedy movie
