Checking jersey quality at lids at mall of America the blue line collection, fanatics, Adidas

- Just out killing time at mall of America and wandered into a lids store and saw literally the worst quality jerseys I've ever seen the blue line ones from mitchell and ness aka fanatics are as bad as advertised.

Huge shame that fanatics are ruining the sports merchandise market. They even bought mitchell and ness and ruined them too. I once found a Canucks hoodie from fanatics at a thrift shop and bought it for dirt cheap. And let me tell you it's not a great hoodie. Definitely wouldn't pay real money for anything made by them
It definitely worries me as a collector exactly what they're gonna look like on the retail level
Larry, could you look at the Detroit Red Wings jerseys they played in vs the Penguins tonight. The name plates caught my attention that they are straight across which is different than the traditional arched. Are the Wings making a change?

I was thinking the same thing tonight when I saw the name plates straight across the back. The arched letters with no plate should never be changed! LGRW!

They always do that in the preseason for some reason. Then change them once the regular season starts.
Hi Larry glad you’re telling NHL jersey collectors on what I initially told you about Mitchell and Ness being owned by Fanatics around 6-8 months ago I told you at the time because I thought you should know hope you had a great day cool you live near to the largest mall in all of the America’s/Western Hemisphere by square feet
Ya I hadn't actually seen the Mitchell and Ness ones up close until that day and ya I thought they were bad in pictures they were even worse in person just unreal the quality they try to pass as good inventory

Montreal Expos jersey though it’s a MLB baseball jersey it’s good quality and heavy sucks the NHL and NBA Swingman Jerseys suck in quality especially the NBA I heard they used to be good quality alternative compared to the current NBA Swingmans does M&N make authentic NHL jerseys with embroidered/stitched on logos and name/number like the adidas ones
I've become abit of fan ProJoy in line hockey jerseys...I've even see NHL jerseys with that are made out of the soccer-like style and printing with player numbers/surnames etc. I saw it in a market and the branding was called Above Oridinary but the style was definitely ProJoy style....
It always burns my eyes when I see fantastics jerseys. The quality is Hideous come pair to Adidas

Well the one caveat to Fanatics taking over next year is that it's going to make the secondary market for Adidas and older stuff skyrocket in value.
Or people get really discouraged and get out of the hobby altogether.

If you're wanting to do some good walking that's the place it's a very cool place alot of cool stores and on the 4th floor they have a couple bars and a comedy club

@@fantasticvoyage262 I didn't get anything they had a cool Vegas reverse retro hat but it was one of those flat bill hats that if you try to bend it like a regular hat it gets all messed up and the stores are normally open til 9 might be 10 on weekends
@@LHOH197 I parked at the Mall Of America parking lot once to take the mass transit to Target Field. I had to work the next day, so I had to head back home afterwards. So I didn't go inside the mall. If I ever go back to your state, I would go inside the mall.
I have a NFL legacy jersey from M&N, it’s their cheaper NFL jersey. I personally love it, I got it on sale for $100. They are $160 regularly. I assume these sweaters the NHL equivalent of that. Would I pay $160, No. I would say $120 at most. Frankly it’s still better than the shit NFL jerseys Nike puts out. Sign up for emails, M&N do sales all the time, usually 25-35% off. Would you think this jersey is worth it with a discounted price. Again I’m just guessing, maybe this is worse than my M&N “cheaper” version NFL jersey?
Don’t have to buy them that’s why authentic jersey at $300-400 dollars these are mass produced retail versions that’s why they’ll be cheaper
Mass produced Fanatics NHL jersey is about $140 Canadian . Mass produced Adidas is $200 Canadian . There is no comparison between the two . Fanatics are visibly cheaper and I will gladly pay the extra $60 for quality . Fanatics are junk .

But the Mitchell and Ness and fanatics breakaway are just replica jerseys. They are the hockey equivalent to the NBA swingman jerseys. I wouldn’t expect authentic adidas quality with a replica
Then it should be priced accordingly. And not marked up double or triple what it's worth.

I only own ONE Fanatics jersey : the ANA 25th anniversary jersey, just to see how they are and to compare it to the adidas and the Rbk Premiers - they kinda look like fake counterfit jerseys to me ; I have an orange ANA fake Rbk jersey and that material is better, the logo and the patches are sown on and look real like on the CCM jerseys from the 2000s.....

It’s the NHL version of a NBA Swingman or NFL Legacy jersey. The actual authentic jerseys are of way better quality. Take a look at a Mitchell and Ness Authentic NBA, MLB or NFL jersey. You’ll see a huge difference. Unfortunately, I do not think M&N have authentic NHL jerseys available at this time. I’m sure they’ll release them eventually for certain players but not all

Personally I would wear the fanatics one out to games and not wear the adidas one and keep that in my collection
I proudly wear my Adidas to games. Mine are too nice to hang up in a closet all the time.
Such a shame what happened to M & N .......they were so great once
They were pretty good just amazes me how crap the quality have become the CCM jerseys in the 90s and early 2000s were incredible quality puts today to ahame
@@LHOH197 only Problem with the CCM/Koho jerseys was that the logos and the shoulder patches were not sown on - Starter and ProPlayer was sown on, even if the logos bubbled (they had their flaws but credit to them for doing it, much like the advenced elbow stitching)

Those blueline mitchell and ness are such garbage. Seeing them on video doesnt do justice to how shit they are.
I bought a different mitchell and ness, the 94 rangers jersey and its a little bit better quality then those blue lines but its also possible its because theyre letters instead of some big logo.
The quality of fanatics jerseys is why im going to buy 2 home and 2 away blank addidas jerseys for future customizing. I dont care if the players i want to add never wore addidas because my jersey will likely be higher quality.
It's just amazing that in the year 2023 that the quality has gotten worse the 90s CCM jerseys were absolutely incredible I'll take CCM any day over anything fanatics
Seems to be the way to go. I've seen Bedard Reebok jerseys and I didn't mind it at all, they looked great. It would become a problem if a team changes their look though
