I used to attend the Cowie Youth Club in the auld Church in the swing park. Our Youth Leader asked who wanted to go hill climbing on a Saturday I was the only girl among 5 boys what a laugh we all had.Happy Saturdays spent climbing the Hills around Alva and Tillicoultry.That was in 1965. I will be 70 in 2023.This brought back some happy memories. Thank you.
@@coconutislanddrones well being an industrial enthusiast I always wanted to come live here because of the refinery, you could see it from Alva at night as I lived up high near the back road. Then my mate moved here and at the time I needed somewhere new to live so I moved in with them and I was extremely lucky to end up directly across from Ineos so I had a view better than I could have ever imagined lol 🏭🤩
@@RuthCampbell123 Just like everywhere I suppose. I live in Cowie and it wasn't until I sent the drone up that I realised the village has doubled in size in the last 20 years due to new builds
@@coconutislanddrones Our dad worked in the old coal mine in Cowie we were brought up in the auld miners raws.Then went to a new build in Burns Terrace in Cowie .Happy Days
