I would add this tip for those flying: pack a pair of shoes and race outfit in your PERSONAL bag. That item won't get checked. The way overhead bin space is these days, those boarding the plane in later sections may run the risk of having to gate check their carry on.

Would love it if someone could buzz in and offer suggestions on something a bit more challenging than Dopey. Something between Dopey and Ultra :)

What area of the USA are you looking to do a race? You want 100K or 50 miler? Lots of ultra races around the USA.

I would definitely recommend looking into Vacation Races. I've done two races with them, and am about to do another 50 Miler (Antelope Canyon) with them next year. They do all distances, which is about anything from a 5k to 100 miler. I would also recommend looking into ultrasignup.com to see races around the U.S.

Great tips and advice. I’m guilty of trying new foods on race day like short stake of pancakes. It was a tough day 🤢

I'm guilty of it too. lol When I ran the Berlin Marathon, I definitely was eating things that I didn't normally eat leading up to race day and my stomach was a mess halfway through. Learned my lesson though! lol

After watching this video, I have an important question to ask you, Jack. What is your favorite GU gel flavor?

I don't do GU gels as often, but when I do my go to flavors are smore's and birthday cake!

Another great tool for recovery between races? Walk around a theme park all day. Seriously. It works for me! It ensures the stiffness stays away

This video made me feel so much better! I'll also be running the Goofy. More nervous about the rain possibility on Saturday for the half because I don't want wet shoes, but Florida weather changes with a snap of a finger. Fingers crossed!
I've also been watching your marathon video from last year and it's definitely giving me Disney magic feels!
    Have a great Goofy race!

@@passporttorun It was amazing! I was sad we weren’t able to run the full half but I was nervous about being sore for the full and going to fast. So it was kind of a blessing in disguise. The full was amazing! Definitely hit a mental block at Blizzard beach parking lot, but once my mom and I stopped for Elsa and Anna, I got the mojo back to finish strong!
I hope you had a great race at Disney World and Disney Land!
