Hier ist jeder Ton, jeder Klang musikalisch sinnvoll und treffend, zumal wenn es so lebendig dargebracht wird wie hier von diesen 5 Meister*innen ihres Fachs. Danke, danke, danke ;-)
Love, love, love this. I checked it out some years ago because I heard it was one of Charlie Parker's favorite pieces. And I've been listening to it ever since. Nearly always, it's what I choose to fall asleep to. Some might find it a bit too lively for that, but it's the intricacies that carry me away, mesmerizing me to sleep. Magical, watching it performed here. 1,000 thumbs up! Thanks for posting.

This sounds a lot like Samuel Barber's "Summer music" for wind quintet. But this was composed in 1912, and the Barber piece in 1955.
