    Bonjour
    Malgré un niveau de Danse avancé, je reviens toujours à vos vidéos de débutants.
    Les figures sont très bien analysées toujours avec humour et technicité.
    Merci beaucoup et continuez en diversifiant vos figures

    Keenly - at the end of the side chasse, be sure you finish it technique-wise by settling the hips on the "1" beat in "on 2" (also known as "International") cha-cha.

    Alexi , thank you for your step by step lessons. I am in my 76th year and find your break down of each movement very easy to follow. When I follow you, age disappears. From San Diego, good wishes.

    Your verbal instructions are very clear but imagine how helpful it would be if your back is towards us so we don't have to try to work out the left side from the right and getting confused 😅

    Hi, Alexey. Thanks for your explanations and tutorials. One question, though. On the second CHA in chasse, when you transfer weight and rotate your hip, are you supposed to keep your heel off the ground the entire time? It's not visible from the video whether you put it down on the ground or not. Thanks a lot

    • @ballroomwithalexey3951
      @ballroomwithalexey3951  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question 👍🏻
      In the book it says to lower the heel on the floor, but honestly because of the speed, it happen so quickly, that you cannot really tell. Just like you said!

    Лешенька, почему на счёт чп ча раз, движение получается не акцентированным (при смене ноги и переносе веса). So smooth. Не знаю, достаточно ли понятно выразилась

    • @ballroomwithalexey3951
      @ballroomwithalexey3951  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Алина спасибо за вопрос ! Тут может быть много причин , могу посоветовать обратить внимание на расслабление бёдра на счёт рас во время маятникового движения , вместо того чтобы акцентировать зажатым бедром. Это может показ противоестественно, но с практикой это прийдет :)
      😊✌🏻спасибо за хороший вопрос

    Another great video, thanks for sharing. However, for me as a beginner, it is pretty hard to mirror your movement. It would be great to have a repetition with either a view from your back or a mirrored version to follow along more easily

  • @joetesta3352
    @joetesta3352 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Alexey. Is the information you give here applicable for both male and female. I have danced on and off since the mid 1970s and seen lots of style and technique changes over the years. I think todays latin is awesome in terms of speed athleticism, etc., But when I watch many couples compete it appears the males are wanting to achieve as much hip action, rotation and flexibility as the females. I feel the lines are being somewhat blurred and guys are loosing their masculinity and dancing too much like women. This is not a criticism but an observation and my personal opinion. My question is guess is it possible in todays latin American style for a man to achieve the physical demands and still retain a strong masculine look?

    • @ballroomwithalexey3951
      @ballroomwithalexey3951  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joe Testa Thank you so much for your comment and Great question. I do agree with you that man has to be more masculine. And it is totally possible, but everyone has their own style and vision.
      My demonstration is for both man and women , but of course man should move their hips less. When I’m teaching I am over exaggerating to make action more visible, when you practice you adopt this action to your style of dance!
      Thank you one more time for your question!😊✌🏻

    • @joetesta3352
      @joetesta3352 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alexey. What's up!!!!!!!! Thank you for clarifying this. I hope that the teaching trend does move in this more masculine direction in the future because sometime it looks like the male partners are competing to wear the dress. I don't compete any more but my daughter now dances and she often asks me things so I like to still keep up with the latest information to give her and her partner good direction. What you are doing is very valuable and wish you much success. Perhaps masculinity in Latin dance can be a topic for you to discuss. Another topic you might consider and this is a particular hate of mine in male dancers and that is the over delicate, inexpressive way they use their hand movements and gestures and how correct and appropriate use of the hands can add drama and expression and how it can greatly improve the visual impact of the movement and story. This understanding seems to be lacking in so many male dancers. I am from Australia. Best wishes.
