    Love your video. Only marketing advice: Statistically, People that are just clicking into your video for fast information have a very low attention span, and leave very fast when you try to sell them something. Its therefore a thing to sneak the information about courses somewhere in the middle of the video or in the end. Even I, who was waiting for this video since it came up as a premiere in your channel 7 days ago, was taken aback by that a bit

    I’ve watched several of your videos and really enjoyed them. Thanks for sharing with us. I’m a pro photographer, 70 years old and still working like crazy. I recently decided to branch out and do some videography. I’ve done a couple of short films, using fluid head tripods and a motorized gimbal which worked very well. Then I saw some videos on the DIY Arri Trinity, and I’m off and running, buying parts and doing everything I can do to develop a working system on the cheap. I’m using a Nikon Z6 mirror less mounted on a Weebill S gimbal, mounted on a flycam redking steady cam, and today I received my pro aim comfort arm vest. This vest has only one spring arm. My question to you is: how should I adjust the spring tension in the arm? Also, this vest has the mounting bracket in the center of my body rather than the side. I’m having a bad time getting it to work easily. I can do it but it’s tough. Any thoughts that might make life easier for a newbie?

    I've seen you mention bubble levels in a few videos, but never a full break down? Common places for them, how and where to use them, or how you've seen them used? Any any case love the videos keep them going!

    • @SteadiRed
      @SteadiRed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great point... to me I use them in 2 different ways.
      First it's when I'm balancing the rig. I place them on level parts of the rig to tell me if I'm level to start with. On my rig it's down on the bottom of the sled. I use for forward and aft. Then there is one built into the top that I use for side to side.
      The other use is when I'm shooting. I have one built into the monitor, but a lot of people will add one on top or below the monitor. That way you can see if you are level with a quick glance. I find it easier to tell if I am level by looking at the image most of the time but it comes in handy if you are looking at something with not very clear vertical or horizontal lines. Or a tilt down from the sky is very hard to tell without one.
      Thanks!!!

This was a great video and really appreciate all the information. I was just working with a Steadicam operator and he mentioned something about a hill bracket. This is what he's talking about...
      steadimoves.com/product-category/docking-brackets/
      It is a docking bracket that a lot of people like. your rig will come with a different docking bracket and I would use that one. If you end up not liking it you can always change it but its a lot of money to solve a problem you may not have.
      One thing I did forget about in the video is insurance though!

The arm is quite bad and the vest hurts, but the gimbal and post are quite good for the price point. The only problem I had with the post is, that the mountingplatte for the camera can slip a little bit when mounting a heavy camera and doing steep angles. This will trow of your ballance. But for the overal pricepoint of 1500$ it is quite good. I used it on a lot of semiprofessional productions and it worked quite good, but if you want to do it professionely I would recomend to get a rig from GPI Pro, Tiffen or one of the other professional brands.
