Hisame FTW! I really want to know the story behind his parasol. I own a quality wagasa, and not only are they _not_ cheap as it is (unless you buy the purely party decor ones that tear to shreds, easily break just when you try to open them, and aren't weather or rainproof whatsoever), you still wouldn't dare use it as a weapon; as they just aren't made of weapon material-like, _ever._ (This is unlike Katana's fans from MK, which have real-world counterparts.) Shizumaru's would surely require a weaponsmith intimately familiar with the wagasa design, but had the resources to construct it using lighter-weight metal alloys and then sharpened to a blade's edge at the outer circumference, perhaps with little barbs (a la the shuriken) serving as the endpoints of the spokes. It potentially could be done. But how do you get around hinges (a major durability weakness for all umbrellas, as anyone knows) if you go with all metal? (Perhaps one could retain the treated "paper" of the traditional wagasa strictly for the folding segments, though that still feels potentially iffy.) At any rate, to be useful as a weapon, it'd have to be forged it so that it's reliably not fragile in melee-and that is what vexes me most!
Just bought this on XBOX One and it brings back so many arcade memories from the 90s. Love seeing Shizumaru kick some ass. Trying to relearn SNK buttons as I'm used to Capcom button layouts. Thank you for posting, enjoyed watching techniques that I need to work on.
His super. I can never pull it off when I want it to. The command is ⬅➡⬇CD I believe. I do more of a rocking motion. ⬅➡↘⬇, but it only triggers on accident. Am I doing it wrong?
For the super, first gotta have a maxed power gauge, then ⬅➡⬇AB Other than that, all I can recommend is simply doing dozens, maybe even hundreds of repetitions to get the correct motion into muscle memory. Although that's gonna be a pain for sure especially if the XboxOne version doesn't have a dedicated practice mode.
BTW, nice video and good job (: I rather have to say that Genjuro-with his poker cards (yeah-yeah, okay, _hanafuda_ )-is a real annoyance; and he's such a personal pet-peeve of an enemy that I often find myself fighting him with reckless abandon. Your finishing him off with the Freezing Rain Repeller at 8:38 was all too satisfying to watch! There are a few spots in some of those fights in which the opponent closes in so daringly I would have likely opted for the May Shower Slice, though of course the potential of an ill-timed block is not always worth the risk. And given you were victorious, I should hardly be playing Monday-morning quarterback. ;)
Thank you! Watching this back, I definitely should have used that move more to keep up some pressure. I perhaps could have avoided a loss against Gaira, as I recall his AI being relatively vulnerable to moves that inflict lots of chip in general. I've had some intense fights against Genjuro too, even if his AI was toned down for SS4. I like how he's even tougher to fight in SS3 with the AI being able to do a complete sanrensatsu for scary damage.
I dont think you thought it was possible anyone could love you. You get it from animals. Thats what i feel. Im an animal too ya know. Im just one you can pork.
I will know who you are when you come. Just be honest. Im who you have been talking to. Im not worried about consequences. I fight hard. But i feel like shit alot of the time. I except my fate. I am a ninja lol. That shit is deep inside me. Morals, values, and honor. And im a man of faith. If it is you, you will do nothing but stand by my side. You will sneak to me. You dont want anyone else to know. You are nervous. Like me. The more discrete the better. Im not stupid. Very very spiritually connected. Im teaching you now.
Aaaah, for that move you only have to hold D button, then release. The longer you hold D, the more powerful his move will be. Also, make sure that when you release the button Shizumaru is in a neutral state of animation, otherwise nothing will happen and the charge is wasted. I think for the most powerful version, you need to hold the button for over a minute! :O
Mira, hasta donde recuerdo, en ésta edición, Amakusa tiene sed de venganza y pretende "limpiar el mundo", acabando con todos sus oponentes, por eso ésta versión se llama "la venganza de Amakusa"
For a kid, Shizumaru is pretty brutal with his moves. Especially his fatalities.

10:26 Love this move
I love this hero😂❤
Thanks. I just remember it being easier as a young teenager in the arcade.
Shizumaru was my favorite character for a looong time nice video :3
Thank you! :)
What a nice comeback! That's what you call pure skill!

His special is so hard to pull off, is there a trick to it with a srick or does it just need to be really precise? It's frustrating.
My pleasure!
Which of the special moves are you having trouble with?

Thanks, practice makes perfect. 😫
