Laura's talent reminds me of my mother's experiences when she was 13 years old. i shared this video to my mom who now is 88-year-old and she got teary eyed because it reminded her of her time many years ago.
I am an older man who loves to hear this young girl sing. Many of the females are singing with such emotion just as with English with the language being difference

Some people don't understand. They say its not fair that she already won in Romania and now shes going to the finals in America. It is totally fair for someone who considers being a singer later. Romania is a too underrated country and it wouldn't help her enough to get worldwide famous. Would you all know about Laura if she wasn't in AGT? Would y'all hate if she wasn't in AGT? No. She wants a singing career, let her have it instead of pressing her down. I'm sure you would do the same thing if you won the show in another smaller country.

Yes, you're right, technically she should have won AGT by far, but the american people voted for a common genre of music. Or a ukulele ? Very few people appreciate opera and that's sad. That means low cultural level. Opera is the highest / supreme level of music

In America's got talent she didn't have competition. Even if Grace is a talented composer... excuse me but it's another level of performance. These type of voices and interpretations of such pieces as "Vissi D'Arte" are rare and extraordinary. She feels opera and makes one feel it deeply. It's not easy listening, but divine things are never easy. Laura is a gift to listen and watch.

AGT, RGT,.. who cares? She's good. Just remember guys, this talent show is owned by Simon's company, and then franchised to many other countries. So I didn't buy it when simon pretended to be surprised at AGT audition. As franchisor, he knew that this girl was a finalist at one of his franchisee talent show (and then won it). I think the producer brought her to America or at least they encouraged her to do AGT audition too. Well this more is a talent-ish realty show than just a competition after all. Funny things are she wore the same shirt when auditioning for both, and also she got the golden buzzer too at RGT, but they didn't have the buzzer yet so the judges just threw confetti over her.
You know, reading through these comments-it makes me feel concerned for people that need to be so negative about someone with beauty and talent and a nice personality. Jealousy is such a downer emotion for everyone because it prevents these negative people from enjoying someone really good and unique. I see the same thing with racism but instead of wanting to be that person they are jealous of, they have fears of people they think are not like them. C'mon people lighten up and enjoy one of our own on the planet. There's never a reason to put a person down for you to feel better. It actually makes you feel worse. Please think with a light mood first when it comes to people because, really, we are all one and you can feel a great relief and happiness with that.

Firstly, let me say that I am NOT putting down anyone else's talent here. I enjoyed both Laura and Grace's performances. BUT... 1) I wonder what all the supporters of Grace would think if the people who love Laura started watching Grace's videos and started pulling her apart. 2) The fact that Grace wrote her own songs was widely mentioned, while the fact that Laura has also written songs never was. 3) Laura did not break any rules by entering both competition, otherwise she would have been ejected from the second one she entered. Don't forget that the acts who appear before the 'Judges' don't just turn up and walk straight onto the 'big stage'. They are seen by production staff beforehand, and I am sure that they check that the rules are not controvened before they go through. 4) Grace had a large following online, but she auditioned because she wanted to get noticed by 'the right people'. Laura just did it a different way - by entering two different shows. 5) All the arguments are now moot, the show has finished - commenting now is just 'putting the girl down' 6) At least read through some comments or do some research before leaving comments yourself, the number of times people have explained what happened is now becoming ridiculous. 7) I was always taught 'if you can't say something positive, don't say anything', but haters are gonna hate. If you prefer Grace, support Grace, don't do it by being negative about someone else. After that little essay, I would like to finish by wishing the best of luck to BOTH girls, and to some of the other brilliant contestants from this season - I loved the diversity of the finalists (Viktor Kees and The Clairvoyants, to name just two). Just be nice people!

I've seen all the proformers that sang opera and out of all of them Lauren was better then any of them. Opera is emotional it is quicksilver anger, it is hot lava passion. Lauren evokes that when she sings not only in her face and music but her actions with her hands and body. She's not standing there like a statue. And that's just imho

some people say it's fair and fine that she is competing in agt after winning rgt and others say it's unfair. my only thought is if all of this information was disclosed on agt that she had already won rgt, whether or not she is more talented than the rest, she probably would not get the votes to win.
How many acts have you seen truly worthy of the buzzer? I've seen two. Laura on AGT and Beau Dermott from BGT. Beau sings incredible songs from Broadway musicals. But, oh no she appeared on a kid's talent show! Both didn't know if what they accomplished would pass muster on a world stage in front of a panel of judges from all walks of the entertainment industry. This is an international and well known group who've seen and heard it all. A far cry from a show seen solely in Romania or a teen talent show. If this panel stands ( both Beau and Laura got the gold ) it validates all the praise received from family and friends. Both are immensely talented and having been showcased to a vast audience will have amazing careers win or lose. If Laura gets one member of the audience and one person watching to check out opera she will have done so much more. Opera is dying at The Met in NYC. I can just imagine Miss Bretan appearing there with a bunch of young adults flocking to see her as if she were a rock star. These are two teens endowed with enormous voices that I feel lucky to have born witness to something magical!!!
Amira Willighagen who won Holland's got talent in 2013, and Jackie Evancho also come to my mind as worthy of golden tickets for their auditions, and both are still singing and doing well. Jackie is she 17 now? Amira is 12 so she has years to go yet to decide if she wants to choose opera as her career.

Laura is a bad ass. She was currently a competitor on Romania's Got Talent when she auditioned for AGT and got the Golden Buzzer. Then she goes back to Romania and wins the grand prize. Then she goes back to the USA and makes it to the finals.

For those of you complaining about her winning Romania's Got Talent, she auditioned for AGT before she auditioned for RGT. I still think it's wrong she was allowed on both, but you can blame both ends.
people keep saying that it's not fair for her to win 2 shows. unfortunately for you haters, it is a competition, anything can happen, and it's not your decision, it's america's( if things went out differently, she could have won agt ).
I don't feel it matters at all about any other talent competitions and Laura was not the only one who entered another show before this one.Check out S.V.
Firstly, let me say that I am NOT putting down anyone else's talent here. I enjoyed both Laura and Grace's performances. BUT...
1) I wonder what all the supporters of Grace would think if the people who love Laura started watching Grace's videos and started pulling her apart.
2) The fact that Grace wrote her own songs was widely mentioned, while the fact that Laura has also written songs never was.
3) Laura did not break any rules by entering both competition, otherwise she would have been ejected from the second one she entered. Don't forget that the acts who appear before the 'Judges' don't just turn up and walk straight onto the 'big stage'. They are seen by production staff beforehand, and I am sure that they check that the rules are not controvened before they go through.
4) Grace had a large following online, but she auditioned because she wanted to get noticed by 'the right people'. Laura just did it a different way - by entering two different shows.
5) All the arguments are now moot, the show has finished - commenting now is just 'putting the girl down'
6) At least read through some comments or do some research before leaving comments yourself, the number of times people have explained what happened is now becoming ridiculous.
7) I was always taught 'if you can't say something positive, don't say anything', but haters are gonna hate. If you prefer Grace, support Grace, don't do it by being negative about someone else.
After that little essay, I would like to finish by wishing the best of luck to BOTH girls, and to some of the other brilliant contestants from this season - I loved the diversity of the finalists (Viktor Kees and The Clairvoyants, to name just two).

this case happen normally here in my country Thailand too. And note that Maneepat Molly the Thailand Got Talent season1 champion went to compete in American show The Rising Star in year later.

How is it unfair for her to audition for AGT and RGT? She obviously has talent and she wants to kick off her career. There's no rules against her auditioning for two shows! She's my favourite on the show right now.

You people act like there's a law stating that someone isn't allowed to enter two shows at a time. These shows help people with talent like hers to become known and do sth with their talent. As you may see she's really compassionate of what she's doing and tries hard to achieve her dream. She tries to find all the possible ways that will lead her to it. Does anyone really think this little girl put her name in these auditions by herself? Her parents probably did and she won and now people don't want her to win again. If she wins both it simply means she is an immense talent. Great talents get picked up anyway by agents.

some people say it's fair and fine that she is competing in agt after winning rgt and others say it's unfair.
my only thought is if all of this information was disclosed on agt that she had already won rgt, whether or not she is more talented than the rest, she probably would not get the votes to win.
How many acts have you seen truly worthy of the buzzer? I've seen two. Laura on AGT and Beau Dermott from BGT. Beau sings incredible songs from Broadway musicals. But, oh no she appeared on a kid's talent show! Both didn't know if what they accomplished would pass muster on a world stage in front of a panel of judges from all walks of the entertainment industry. This is an international and well known group who've seen and heard it all. A far cry from a show seen solely in Romania or a teen talent show. If this panel stands ( both Beau and Laura got the gold ) it validates all the praise received from family and friends. Both are immensely talented and having been showcased to a vast audience will have amazing careers win or lose. If Laura gets one member of the audience and one person watching to check out opera she will have done so much more. Opera is dying at The Met in NYC. I can just imagine Miss Bretan appearing there with a bunch of young adults flocking to see her as if she were a rock star. These are two teens endowed with enormous voices that I feel lucky to have born witness to something magical!!!
Amira Willighagen who won Holland's got talent in 2013, and Jackie Evancho also come to my mind as worthy of golden tickets for their auditions, and both are still singing and doing well. Jackie is she 17 now? Amira is 12 so she has years to go yet to decide if she wants to choose opera as her career.
I've been power watching vids for days and they haven't popped but I'll try and look them up...wait did you say golden ticket? That's Idol. AGT & CGT have the golden buzzer.

No. This was before AGT. She was only 12 or had just turned 13 when she did RGT. I'm not sure if her grandfather died right before RGT or right before AGT but, he asked her to sing on RGT before he died. She did it as a favor to him
Ok, so she auditioned in AGT before RGT. But she hasn't been eliminated in AGT yet? Was it during the time she wasn't on AGT, she was just doing RGT until she performs next time? Idk how this works.

Laura is a bad ass. She was currently a competitor on Romania's Got Talent when she auditioned for AGT and got the Golden Buzzer. Then she goes back to Romania and wins the grand prize. Then she goes back to the USA and makes it to the finals.
