Sorry I missed this by a few hours, but I actually got involved with one of these older raspberry pi systems. managed to resurrect it with a piece of paper , lol . That was a pretty good tutorial on fixing one of those. loved the towel you used, lol. Here in Florida, I can appreciate the nautical theme. Sorry to say though, while I got lots of various systems, I never got any msx stuff. It must have been a bigger hit in Europe than the states. the only floppy drives I ever had that used belts were some full-height tandon drives out of that old 5150 i mentioned, and a few other 5.25 drives. fortunately if those belts broke, they were easy to get to. but nice to watch to see the inside of one of those systems, who knows I might end up with one of those one of these days.
haha, no problem :-) Yes, MSX was big in the netherlands, Spain and Brasil. But it's collectable for many people now. thanks again for your nice comments
Thanks for the video. Mine's got a drive problem too, but sometimes it does load files from the system disk, so it could be that the head needs cleaning. Anyway I'll have to open it and check it out. What are the belt dimensions and are they easy to find nowadays?

Hi, I think I just bought your machine on e-Bay. Thank you for taking such good care of it!!! ❤
I make drivebelts from slices of bicycle inner tire ;-) it works never had complaints back
ha, that's really DIY :-)
I did the same, it works like a charm. I cut roughly a 4mm wide band, but you have to stretch it quite a bit, and then it becomes like 2,5mm wide.

if the belt is slipping of old age, it might sometimes load I think
I can't reproduce the opening of the case. It is a really weird assembly.
