In the first two seconds of footage, you'll see that the Tahoe ran a red (left-to-right from the camera's POV), and was clipped by a white car which had a green. You can see the signal, plus the crosswalk timer which is only active for a green of the same direction.
I went back rewatched and yep that's what caused it. You can even see the white car in the background once the cops show up. It was a crash that resulted in the car plowing through the window. I kept trying to figure out why it would swerve the way it did towards the building like that but then I read your comment. Nice observation 👍

Because crying or screaming both make one feel bad inside, finding dark humor in life is a coping mechanism. Perhaps it is wrong, but if you look how crazy and messed up the world can be, it makes you a little crazy too.

Sue happy lol. I was hit by drunk driver at a red light. Two surgery’s and 5 injections later still taking pain meds. Sadly some people don’t have insurance to sue and most of the time people without insurance have no money anyway.

It did hit one bollard (you can see it standing at 0:25 and on the ground at 0:18) which probably helped reduce the impact, but yeah it just barely missed two others on each side...
I don't believe this was staged, but to your point about who would intentionally destroy their own vehicle, I have seen at least a few scorned lovers or people with unknown issues plowing cars into various things before.

Kind of the point. Nearly being killed SHOULD make you exponentially more aware of your surroundings and nearby threats. Thus reducing the odds of you dying because you didn't see it coming later on.

My cousin one time was getting crawfish and him and his son were sitting at a table by the window then he got him up and they walked to the register and then a car just drove into the place where they were sitting. My nephew was around 3 or 4. He could have been seriously injured.
