I'm a retired postal worker, Management has closed faciliries and moved mail into understaffed and already overburdened sort centers. At local post offices they have eliminated positions, forbidden overtime, so mail has to be rolled over to the next day or the window is closed. It's a total mess.
After I retied, waited for 8 yrs.. then I worked for them. Most ABUSIVE, Dysfunctional, & violators of Law...... I've been in 50 years. !!! Just wholly ...UnGodly !!
The problem is the postal union. You can't get rid of bad employees so to get the bad employee out of that position they promote them. Now you have terrible management and it is way to heavy at the top. To many chiefs and overworked Indians
The USPS kept my car title in a post office telling me it was being processed. They wouldn't even do a return to sender. My insurance company never got that title. I had to pay for a new one.
I work at USPS, Dejoy has completely destroyed us. We run skeleton crews nationwide, employees are fucking tired of working constant 12 hour days. We are tired of management hounding us on a daily basis about the numbers all because Dejoy has set literally impossible goals for the service. Yes, your mail is delayed because Dejoy is shutting down processing plants and cutting staff left and right. We are a SERVICE but Dejoy wants to run it as a business, we aren't suppose to generate a profit or else we would be tax payer funded which we aren't. Get rid of this bozo.

What we are not hearing about is the fact that almost 20 yrs ago the post office was doing well. Then Congress decided to pass a law to require the post office to put 5 million into escrow each year indefinitely to fund retirements 75 years in advance. Yes, fund retirements for employees not even born yet. I believe this was just a honey pot for congress to put their hands in. We couldn't afford the 5 million yearly. The post office then restructured their positions, eliminating many postmasters, replacing with part time. Lowered beginning wages etc. Put a wage freeze eliminating incentives for high production and efficiency. Cut corners at every turn. Management stopped holding employees responsible for bad performance. Lower starting wages meant lower quality of employees. It all went downhill ever since.

My neighbor who who was mid management went back to being a carrier due to lack of support by the local postmaster... He retired and the new lady is even worse... For all the mail that makes it okay, there's hundreds of millions of dollars wasted on "misrouted" or "misdelivered " mail - figures vary, but remember it's only what the USPS will admit. I know from personal experience how misrouted mail works - from the five state zig-zags back and forth over my location before a package is finally delivered. This guy is a joke.

The usps does suck and I don’t use it because after waiting a year to get my package and having the usps tell me is on the way or out for delivery I finally called them and they said they lost it or it was sent back to the sender

I wish somebody had bothered to dust that box for fingerprints and figure out who did this? Tracing the route, it wouldn’t be hard. In Michigan postmasters were telling postal workers to process mailed ballots that were postmarked after November 3-they were told to back date the envelopes so that the ballot would be counted. The people posting these videos were threatened with disciplinary action, including termination. This is completely illegal and wrong on so many levels.

my town's post office get's the mail we mail out then it get's loaded on truck's sent 70 mile's away sorted then reloaded sent back to our post office loaded on mail carrier truck's then sent to our mail boxes even if only what we mail out may be going across town ? now that's some real intelligent's there
