I have had a pretty obsessive relationship with my friend. It's finally gotten a bit better nowadays, but it used to feel horrible. I loved her so deeply, that I would have given everything for her. I felt a crazy amount of happiness if she happened to say something nice of me, and crushing sadness if she didn't confide in me or went out somewhere without telling me at all. It was super complicated and messy and I always felt like a lesser person, that I needed her to see me, and to tell me how much I mean, everyday. It went to the point that I would just feel happy in tiny bursts, when she would show me attention, and I would feel content if I knew she was the closest to me, not others. Still fighting the negative effects of the friendship with myself, I doubt she ever fully knew how I have felt, but who knows. I still care deeply about her.
