@@saber_6683I think bounsweet seems more like a baby Pokemon versus a starter to me. Salandit being a female only evo doesn’t sit right for a starter. Golisopeed. Probably works best. But I personally just like dewpider more
Hold it. If you're allowing Magmortar for Sinnoh, despite Magmar being a Gen 1 Pokémon and Magby being from Gen 2, why not have the Kingdra line for Johto?
It’s strange how the line up gets worse as we go on. I suppose it shows gamefreak really moved away from 3 stage lines, and introduces fewer mon in later gens
Coalossal's base stage, Rolycoly, is mono Rock type, so it wouldn't work for a starter; same situation you mentioned for Azumarill w. Azurill not being Water
Thanks for choosing your starter for all of these new ones, awesome to see who you'd pick! (Haha the Salandit would be female!). Thanks for commenting!
Armarouge would only make sense in Pokemon Scarlet, since you can't get it in Violet. So it would make more sense for the evolution to depend on which game you're playing.
In Alola you must receive a female Salandit, because if the gender percentage is the same as the wild Pokémon then we can have a Pokémon that does not evolve.
Rolycoly isn't a fire type, so I'd say that Coalossal doesn't really work. Also interesting that discounted Hydrapple for being part of a split evolution line, but went with Armarouge in the next region.
Nice work picking out rolycoly I didn't realise that it wasn't fire type! But about Armarouge I did say my only other choice for an evolution was Scovillain but since this had 2 of the 3 starter types I didn't want to go for this. Thanks for commenting!
Wow! Its kinda funny that the first three stage evolution non-starter Fire type line is the Litwick line (I am not gonna count Magby line here, since they weren't three line from the start). Also the only correct choice to replace the starters in Unova are the Elemental Monkeys.
My picks for each region: Kanto: Poliwag Johto: Houndour Hoenn: Spheal Sinnoh: Budew Unova: Torn between Sewaddle and Litwick Kalos: Clauncher Alola: Salandit, but there’s no bad choices here Galar: Rolycoly Paldea: Charcadet
for me it doesnt need to be grass fire water.. its just need a theme.. like you can have 2 stage with stone evolution forn Kanto. Egxecutor, Cloyster and Ninetails... for Johto you can have all the babies introduced. Smoochum, Magby and Elekid. and for the last gen you can choose between the 2 armor pokemon.
8:34 i personally feel like salandit would have to remove the female exclusivity with evolution or changing its gender ratio for it to be more realistic to be a starter as it only has a 1/8 chance of being female which allows it to evolve.
I suppose since it's a starter Pokemon it could just be given as a female anyway, either way I do agree this would have to be fixed in some way! Thanks for commenting!
You said it would be weird for a regional bird Talonflame to be fire starter for Kalos... But Fletchling doesn't even a fire type. It is Normal/Flying Pokemon
Gen 1. Definitely should have chosen Arcanine. You said you didn’t choose him because he was a stone evolution. But so are victrebll and poliwrath. If you would have chosen arcanine. At least all 3 starters would have had stone evolution connecting them. Now there is no common theme among your gen 1 starters. Not even number of stages
Question question and@Quillion-lq4bx is absolutely right as Magby came out in gen 2 and is not even a 3 stage until gen 4. Thanks for asking and thanks for answering Quillion!
Alola has very unfortunate choices. Golisipod dosent feel like a starter, Salandit dosent either, and bounsweet isn’t typical either
Goliacopid?
Boundweet feels alot like a starter wdym
@@saber_6683agreed. These Pokémon are quite common from what we seen in Alola
Bounsweet has three EVOS while the other has two

I believe gen4 was an exception bc of the lack of options
In sinnoh pokedex there are only 3 fire Evo lines magmortar infernape and heatran
@@ProFoxuu also rapidash
@@gui4816 right but he added it in kanto
My starter picks!
Kanto: Poliwag
Johto: Hoppip
Hoenn: Spheal
Sinnoh: Budew
Unova: Litwick
Kalos: Skiddo
Alola: Wimpod
Galar: Gossifleur
Paldea: Charcadet
Underrated unique Pokémon youtuber?! He didn’t copy any bodies thumbnail or idea! Instant subscribe and like!

Yeah idk, maybe they wanted to make the starters feel more special
Coalossal's base stage, Rolycoly, is mono Rock type, so it wouldn't work for a starter; same situation you mentioned for Azumarill w. Azurill not being Water
Unova had the best alternative starters.
They were a great set of new starters that worked quite well too! Thanks for commenting!
Here’s what I’d take for each region:
Kanto - Poliwag
Johto - Houndour
Hoenn - Spheal
Sinnoh - Budew
Unova - Litwick
Kalos - Clauncher
Alola - Salandit (assuming it’s always female)
Galar - Rolycoly
Paldea - Charcadet
12 percent chance youre starters useless

@@AlphaOrange99 that's a good point! They really need to make more 3 stage fire type lines.
Ironic how the types they’re strong against are 4x weak to them except litwick
Replace litwick with rolycoly and we will have a quiet interesting starter pair 💀
6:24 I get why you said that, but Chandelure having 145 base special attack certainly shouldn’t feel too “underpowered” lol
Some of these mons with start stats would ve broken. Especially ferathorn
The Horsea evolution line could've been Johto's water starter.

My picks:
1. Poliwag
2. Houndour
3. Spheal
4. Budew
5. Litwick
6. Clauncher
7. Salandit
8. Rolycoly
Doesn't choose Azumarill because Azurill is not water

For sinnoh, budew does make some sense but I’d go with Snover, as it is entirely new
The starters are supposed to have 3 pokemon in line like charmader charmelion and charzard
I think the let’s go games should have alternate starter trios like this
People using Hoppip... USE SPLASH, USE SPLASH, USE SPLASH
You should do alternative starters in the let’s go format.
Great video, kind of a shame most of them are streches but it's not ur fault :/
Having to pick magmortar for sinnoh is tragic !! But it really can’t be helped
Rolycoly isn't a fire type. Maybe Sizzlipede is a better option.
For water in jotho Horsea would fit perfectly
Sewaddle is my starter in Gen 5
Rolycoaly can’t be the fire starter. It’s not a fire type. Gotta go with centiscorch unfortunately
For Kanto use the Magar line
Imagine starting with a salandit and it’s male😭😭😭
You deserve more views
Awe thanks man, that means a lot! Hopefully the views continue to increase but it's great fun to make these videos for you fans anyways!
Salazzle Tsareena and Primarina being a startar trio would make the world a better place
Azuril > whooper
What if starters sucked and made no sense🤔🤔
I'm joking it's a fun video
Horsea > poliwag
Horsea should’ve been for gen 2
Buizel, magby and budew have the worst colour scheme.
Paldean trio
Why not magby in kanto
While it's not stated, we could assume it's down to a starter generation for the generation. Magby came out in gen 2 with gold&silver
Question question and@Quillion-lq4bx is absolutely right as Magby came out in gen 2 and is not even a 3 stage until gen 4. Thanks for asking and thanks for answering Quillion!
So basically an entire video, with picks that don't fit at all?
