What a gorgeous boat ,Riva are like the Rolls Royce of small craft,BIG engines ! what is the engine in this one? I'm just finishing restoring a model of a Tritone in mahogany ect. leather seats,nicely made but had been neglected.
Dutch rebel Thanks,your Chevy Sounds beautiful,the model 26 inches long,its made just like a real Riva with individual strips of Mahogany and other woods, very detailed, beautifully hand made,they are available in various sizes too,on Ebay. from Vietnam and the States.

Our favourite region is Delfgauw near Delft and Rotterdam so far. As an engineer I always wanted friends which I could work with to restore boats or even build up small prototypes. And by the way: your kawasaki jet project is pure awsomeness. That is how life should get ;-) Thanks again!
Hello Friend, We in Holland always dream about the French riviera...... The Kawasaki jet was the final little big project, I am close to 60, so i go to pick up my other hobby (RC modeling) which is more manageable, but I never say never..... Cheers!

Fine machine is that lose rocker arm or bent push rod it mite just b lifter that's not pumped up fully yet? making that whack sound but I'm just old hillbilly that's feared of deep water!!!
Hello Shinobi 62 Actually in this particular year (1960) there were only three N type Ariston installed with a Chrijsler engine; and this was one of them, because these Chrijsler engines were very unreliable with many cooling problems; that's why we chose to install a GM283 that was also used in this same year and years after. Riva also uses Crusader and later Crusader and GM engines under its own brandname. Thank for the interest, Cheers, .
I don't care if the zebra and the blue plastic are like the original furnishings. It is awful. When I own one I will change it to pleated leather and dark wood.
What a beautiful boat, she looks perfect! My father has a 1964 Boesch 560 Deluxe runabout (th-cam.com/video/4dhksc0rxg8/w-d-xo.html ) but unfortunately, she is a long way from the condition of this beauty, maybe one day, haha!

@@TheLM1961 I was talking about the black upholstery, the missing ferrules around the drainpipes and some modification made at the engine (main switch, douple kelp filters, missing risers(?) etc.) Anyway the boat looks great and very clean, you should be a good owner👍🏻
I was born in 1960, grew up on the ocean, love boats in general but that year riva was a sweet boat, beautiful classic.

It is a 60 Ariston, the region is Giethoorn, also called the Dutch Venice.

You are right, the engine runs in its first hour after overhauling, we let him run on purpose with somewhat lose rockers, Thanks voor de comment!

Nice video, but unfortunately there’s nothing original in that boat, it’s like seeing another model, not a Riva.
