The creepier, horror type moments just reopen the wound... Death Stranding should have been Silent Hills, and that's why it'll only ever be close to being great.

If I remember the cutscenes are triggered by moving the story forward, and by completing certain actions in the game or quests and side-quests. I do remember that I was playing the game a lot and I did a lot of exploring.
