Montana: "She's a fake nepo-baby." Yes, you are absolutely right, I can't think of a more perfect way to describe Pacifica at this point. Well, except for what Mabel says in season 2.
I'm very glad that while Mabel let go of her need for revenge and had a moment of character development, Dipper still told Pacifica what they discovered. Some people need a wakeup call to reality sometimes, and Pacifica is one of those.
Sheriff Blubba and Dudley are already a couple. But since Disney is… well… Disney. They didn’t allow them to be outspoken about it so Hirsch found a way to make it subtle enough to be passable.
For those interested, I'd suggest watching Alex Hirch's emails with Disney's S&P department. It's both hilarious and infuriating seeing the absurdity he had to deal with
@@Flufux they were more having problem with the fact that children could take this a bit too seriously which i see no problem with ever since that episode i spent every christmas wish on begging for New Disney to crumble
"I am going to eat this entire oak tree because I am a powerful wizard!" _Nathaniel Northwest, waste-shoveling village maniac and forefather of the Northwest family and their fortunes_ I also love how this episode includes other nods to government conspiracies but does so in a way that truly shows how absurd many of them are. Like the document revealing Thomas Jefferson was two kids in a trench coat, Santa Claus actually runs the USA under a "jollyocracy," and how the heads on Mount Rushmore are actually President-themed giant robots meant to combat a time-devouring baby from another dimension should said child ever escape from its polar ice cap prison. But hey, they're all just ridiculous theories... right?
-$12 might not seem like much, but with inflation factored in, that would be in the neighborhood of -$500. That’s quite substantial for most people, and certainly for someone around Dipper’s age.
So, a couple of cool fun facts about the US government. 1. The actual ninth president of the United States was William Henry Harrison. He lasted a month before he died in office. So out of every point in United States history, right before WHH, where President 8.5 Trembley would have been, is the most likely place to squeeze in an extra president. 2. President Trembley appointing babies to the Supreme Court is actually plausible. Legally, there is no age minimum for Supreme Court Justices, they don't need any experience in the profession, they don't even need a law degree. Babies are totally eligible, and the only obstacle would be getting the Senate to approve.
"Sepia? Like the Instagram filter?" Yes. Sepia toning was an old photography method, and the color is now associated with antique photos (hence the "dirty glass" gag at 2:57).
Fun fact: In the fishing episode when Dipper drew Benjamin Franklin Stan told him: "he looks like a woman" and now we see in this episode that Benjamin actually is a woman 😂😂
Unfortunately the President's Key only works on locks made at the time the key was made, so unless you are on an ye olden timey festival it is pretty much just pretty to look at^^
i love how you guys are already enjoying the show this much considering we're currently at the " ok " part of it and the best stuff it has to offer are yet to come ..... 🤐❤
13:24 - _"Ben Franklin secretly _*_was_*_ a woman!"_ This is a reference back to the cold open of episode 2, where Grunkle Stan criticised Dipper's counterfeiting skills: "You call that Ben Franklin? He looks like a woman!" The relationship between sheriff Blubs and deputy Durland started out as simply a reversal of the trope "Grizzled veteran cop is annoyed by his naïve/dumb rookie partner", so that the sheriff would instead be constantly _delighted_ by his deputy's shenanigans - but over the course of the series, it quickly grew into so much more! I'm glad you read the full Trembley document, because it foreshadowed a character that you've seen in episode 9. 😉
"It's not a bug it's a feature" I first heard that line from the command zone channel. I don't really remember his name but I think it's Jimmy. Was Jimmy the first, this lady or someone else?
The idealist/realist dichotomy goes well with my favorite relationship theory that every compatible pair has one cat (usually but not always the realist), and one dog (usually but not always the idealist) Eg, I'd say Kenny is the dog (golden retriever energy off the charts, imo needs no explanation) is and Montana is the cat (more reserved, analytic, fiercely loyal but in the cat way where you will scratch anyone who hurts someone you care about, as we saw a bit with the glee at Pacifica being told the truth) Obviously I don't actually know you this is just based on my very limited perception from videos and it really is more clear in fictional ships as real humans are much more complex Some examples from stuff you've covered: She-ra/catra (obvious, on both counts) Scorpia/catra (even more obvious) Luz=dog, Amity=cat Korra=[polar-bear]dog, Asami=cat on a motorcycle Honestly the only couple I can think of off hand from a show you've covered that doesn't fit to me is L+Light, who imo are both cats (though I am open to being convinced Light has dog energy)
I remember me and my mum getting into a long discussion on how that negative dollar bill logically worked, like...would holding it put you in debt? What does it do?
I really need to sign back up so I can ask questions because I am DEEPLY invested in the series. I keep seeing NO mention of the codes found in the end credits but I don't know if that's for the patreon people only. ugh. I love this series so much...
The law about legalizing marrying a woodpecker? That came from the 8th and a half President. Any other silly laws from here on out comes from this guy.
this episode is even funnier taking in consideration the creator of this show (Alex Hirsch) has a an adult cartoon on netflix basically just talking about the stupid conspiracies on what’s going on in the US government, probably not your style for this channel, but the show was pretty good!
Episodes 8, 9, 10, 11, & 12 of Gravity Falls are all posted to Patreon now in their extended full length forms!

Montana: "She's a fake nepo-baby." Yes, you are absolutely right, I can't think of a more perfect way to describe Pacifica at this point. Well, except for what Mabel says in season 2.
"Woah! This is worthless!" is a classic line from the show
*LESS* than worthless!
I'm very glad that while Mabel let go of her need for revenge and had a moment of character development, Dipper still told Pacifica what they discovered. Some people need a wakeup call to reality sometimes, and Pacifica is one of those.

" "Not S&P approved" has been approved" - S&P was peak comedy right there.

In classic presidential fashion Quentin trembly left dipper with debt

"She's a fake nepo-baby"
LMFAO!!! Montana is a treasure of comedy! XD
I mever actually realized the foreshadowing their doing in that secret file. This show is amazing.
Yeah and they should check out for next episode
Yeah, especially the time baby frozen in the arctic
“Revenge is underrated” Dipper is SO right 😂
Kenny, "When else do you use polygon?"
Montana, "When I tell you my parrot is gone."
😂😂😂😂Well played Montana, well played.😂😂😂😂
"Sepia? Like the Instagram filter?"
Yes. Sepia toning was an old photography method, and the color is now associated with antique photos (hence the "dirty glass" gag at 2:57).
I was so
I wanted to say something, but all I managed was an internal 🙉 bc I'm pretty sure I'm a little younger than them
4:20 Did you realize mabel and pacífica was using the same palet of colors? Purple, light blue, even the yellow hair/nachos and brown hair/hat
National Treasure Reaction???

Montana about to be accused of manslaughter, because that parrot joke nearly killed me!

Another one of my favorite episodes. It's all bangers from here on out.
Omg i recognize you!!!
Man i love the way that Kenny just adjust the microphone for Montana THAT'S THE KIND OF RELATIONSHIP I WANT TO BE IN.❤
My favorite joke from this episode!
Dipper: You folded it into a map.... and I was gonna burn it.... *Inner facepalm*
This episode does such a great job of letting the natural charm of Gravity Falls shine. How do they even come up with this stuff? It's great!
Ok ok that reply "when I tell you my parrot has left" was good. Almost gave it a like.
Montana dirty mind counter
14:40 OMG I had no idea they foreshadowed time baby like that, even if only for 1 episode!
Montana's hatred for the Northwest family is already iconic
I love hearing you going from "and this is my fiance" to "and this is my wife", makes my heart glow with warmth every time.
Wow so is that time baby in the glacier
You guys should watch “Over The Garden Wall” next, it’s a great fall/spooky show.
Huh, never realized the time baby was preludes in this episode
"running jokes for cartoons is more important than sleep" 😂
Trust the silliness!
mabel centered episodes are always pretty fun and you guys make them even funnier
My favorite low-plot episode of Season 1.
"Get fucked" lives rent-free in my head for life now
"she's a fake Nepo baby" I'm dead
"It's not a bug it's a feature" I first heard that line from the command zone channel. I don't really remember his name but I think it's Jimmy. Was Jimmy the first, this lady or someone else?
The idealist/realist dichotomy goes well with my favorite relationship theory that every compatible pair has one cat (usually but not always the realist), and one dog (usually but not always the idealist)
Eg, I'd say Kenny is the dog (golden retriever energy off the charts, imo needs no explanation) is and Montana is the cat (more reserved, analytic, fiercely loyal but in the cat way where you will scratch anyone who hurts someone you care about, as we saw a bit with the glee at Pacifica being told the truth)
Obviously I don't actually know you this is just based on my very limited perception from videos and it really is more clear in fictional ships as real humans are much more complex
Some examples from stuff you've covered:
She-ra/catra (obvious, on both counts)
Scorpia/catra (even more obvious)
Luz=dog, Amity=cat
Korra=[polar-bear]dog, Asami=cat on a motorcycle
Honestly the only couple I can think of off hand from a show you've covered that doesn't fit to me is L+Light, who imo are both cats (though I am open to being convinced Light has dog energy)
Montana is amazing 😂😂 her reaction to the officer saying “why did we even come??” Lol 😳
hahaha "NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE DARKEST" IM CRYING XDDD montana is the best
It mentioned time baby being frozen in the ice which comes into play later in the show! Easter eggs are the best!
Montana was extra funny this episode 😂
The whole "polygon" conversation got me good, lol
Bro really said ‘bombastic side eye’ when he was imitating the cow
13:26 1x2 "You call that Ben Franklin? He looks like a woman!"
"An enormous,evil,time-devouring baby from another dimension"
There's a few little secrets hidden in that secret document! Lol.
I would love to watch you guys also react to movies as well as tv shows! I personally would love the variety 💚
How dares Pacifica snear the reputation of ushonest hard working nepo-babies
Quentin Trembly deserves his own spin-off
11:26 IM DEAD😂😂😂😂😂😂

My family has gone on lots of trips to what Kenny described as "old salem" but I'm pretty sure ours was called new salem, which doesn't really fit.
Really enjoyed your reaction to this one, thanks.
The funniest thing about the polygon conversation is that those weren't even polygons lmaoo
Squares and triangles are polygons.
@storchnbein2733 yeah but he wasn't talking about those he was talking about the weird shapes
SHAPES! You two are just adorable!
I can't wait for the heavier plot episodes!
They wanted to make the relationship between the cops must more explicit, but Disney wouldn't let them.
2:44 Alfx Hirsch XD
The law about legalizing marrying a woodpecker? That came from the 8th and a half President. Any other silly laws from here on out comes from this guy.
With babies on the Supreme Court and Trembley as president, would things be any worse?
"Why did we even come?"
"What?"
B r u h h h h h h h h 💀💀💀💀💀
3:50 heh that might be 2
5:48 trying to be silly
13:30. 1x1
wait no way they referenced that here. this early of episode .
Is anyone going to tell them about the codes at the end of every episode in the credits????
Children's television montana jeez

20:56 too real 😭

Okay so of you two, who’s the dreamer and who’s the pragmatist?
Montana 😭💀💀💀💀💀
one punch man is very good anime
i miss the silliness title
I wish you guys Steven universe 😅😅
Montana getting on my nerves lately, idk how to explain it

@@voidclay4985Seriously, what is the point? Do they want them to get divorced because she bothers a few people by her existing?
