It's bad, I have sympathy towards the people that lost their home and all they poured into it.

Thanks for posting. Not keen on the swearing but probably the poor home owners might have said worse. Yet another road gone on the lovely Island and feel so sorry for those affected. .

Apologies for the swearing, we was blown away by the extent of damage done as we'd heard very little from local news site's and equally disturbing we've heard of people wanting to keep this under wraps. This is someone's or a family's home taken away from them and we want to know why people want less said about it. To the people that lived there we wish them all the best and hope they are somewhere safe.

Sorry, wasn't being judgemental. Not sure what I would have said either!

@@dennismoor2767 that's okay 😊 it's just concerning that slips seem to hitting the Isle hard lately, especially two good routes on the island.

So sad, great vid, cut the language tho lads. The island is falling apart!

@@jamescourt4703 the language was our reaction to seeing the extent of damage done. We saw many people pass us and explain what they saw. The majority used their own language to say what they saw. We heard an article saying there had been a slip but we didn't know the true extent of the damage. Like another comment I received on here saying " you could imagine the language used by the owners when this happened".

Is it not dangerous walking on a road with so many bad cracks?

@@elizabethnovak4088 it's far worse than this now, this video was taken not long after it happened and now it's severely unstable with cracked chunks of road all crushed together.

    Shocking!!!!!! 😮

You should see it now, the entire road has collapsed in on itself and half of the garden and woodland behind has bulged towards the house.

Did you not think of possibly sinking into those crack, road simply swallowing you..😮

@@elizabethnovak4088 the fractures had not long happened. It was a case of being vigilant and stepping carefully between areas. Now it's completely unstable with the roads cracked to bits.

Can you show the cliffs or exactly where these homes are built, on the cliff edge or what's actually happening there...

@@elizabethnovak4088 this one was at the end of old park road heading in the direction of binnel studio's, it's a distance from the undercliff but from what I was told a bridge was filled in after the war and it was used for transporting material and personnel during the war, I was told that it shouldn't have been filled in and it's what might have added to the landslip back in 2014 on the undercliff road. I also heard from a miner and geologist that there should have been deep drilled holes to allow water to vent from the deeper soil levels and that the island could benefit from doing this.
