OMG, The Righteous Brothers! I'm 74 yrs and I grew up listening to them in my teen age yrs. We were crazy in love with these guys. I still play their CD'S in my car. Too bad Bobby Hatfield is gone. His voice was so awesome! RIP Bobby! We miss you! 💖 🙏

Ms. Garrimone, at 77, and a retired rock jock of the 60s, it is still easy to remember how the girls swooned (see, I am old) over both of them.

In response to your question re whether they are really brothers or not, they aren't. I just watched your reaction video to Bobby Hatfield singing "Unchained Melody" and that was apparently filmed live during his solo performance on the old Andy Williams TV show. The baritone singer on this song is Bill Medley and together on the Andy Williams show tape they told how they arrived at the group's name. Apparently when they first started they performed 'down south' and when finished someone in the crowd stood up and exclaimed "that's righteous brother" and they were known as that for their entire career going forward.
Check out "You're My Soul & Inspiration" if you liked those two.

Played on American radio over 8,000,000 times from late 1964 thru 2001, blowing away everything played on USA radio since they started playing music on the radio.

The greatest duo of all time imo. Their music was labeled blue eyed soul. This song was the most played song in the 20th Century. Google it if you don’t believe me. This song was played in the movie Top Gun.. also listen to my favorite song of theirs Unchained Melody. Bobby Hatfield did the solo on it. Also Soul and Inspiration. You will love it.

There are many reasons why this was one of the greatest hit songs of all time. The melody, the production and of course the performance however I also think it was the relatable lyrics. Most people have experienced the loss of a great love at least once in their lives. Of course, it could be that they didn’t try hard enough to keep it or didn’t know how to keep it but , it could also be the other person they were in love with couldn’t fully appreciate it or self sabotaged it. The reasons can vary but, for the person who was in love and lost their love, the pain is very real. This song communicates that feeling like no other.

The Righteous are singing partners but not biological brothers. Bill Medley is the taller dark haired gentleman and Bobby Hatfield is the shorter blonde. After a show where a group of black Marines who yelled out, "that was righteous brother!" The name stuck and they were partners on and off till Bobby's death in 2003. Bill is 81 years old and is still performing with another partner. Try "Soul and Inspiration" next!

People do fall out of love because it wasn't real love but infatuation sometimes that doesn't last and people get bored with each other. You can make someone love you again when they realized they were the fool for letting it die .Most guys who do something to make a woman fall out of love with them, never really loved them in the first place and would not bother begging them to come back unless they want them back for some other reason like their money, etc. This song tells me she never really loved the guy in the first place
