Bruh Im digging your channel. I just learned about ceramic. The shop was going to charge $450. I’ve been tinting on and off for yrs. Never got deep into it because I never perfected it. Windshields (front/back) are my enemy lol. After that price quote though, I bought a ceramic 40% roll from Lexen. Now I’m trying to master the craft. Your videos are teaching me a lot, thanks and keep it up!

Bra I agree. Once you get your front when shield tinted you'll never go back. Only drawback is getting a state inspection, sometimes you have to get it taken off than putting it back on once a year just so it can pass inspection. 50% is good, never had any problems, and at night it's incredible.

I always thought tints were on the inside of the window to prevent damage from weather and debris. But man it looks great. I learned a lot from watching this installation I want to start tinting as well
Nice tint! I have 20% ceramic on my front doors, the factory 20% on all the rear glass and 43% on the front windshield as I'm moving to Las Vegas in a couple weeks and having driven cars there, know I need that protection from the intense solar heat while driving.
I've never been out there, but I'm sure your tint will help fight against the heat. I love my Full Windshield tint even here in Wisconsin where it gets to the upper 90s at times. Thanks for watching.
Question boss man. The guy that tinted my windshield did not use a heat gun at all and did not clean the out side of my windshield ,only from the outside??

I have a Amazon link with tools to start out from in my description. I usually just buy when I get my tint. On or in the spray bottles? I have a video about the Solution I use. We don't have windshield sticker but I see people use cling to just hold it on the glass.
I guess it depends on where you are and where you drive. I have No street lights out in the country where I live. I can't see any Deer or anything with 35%. In the city with street lights and buildings with lights, a different story. 🤷🏾♂️

Im in the city and 1 out of 5 cars has 360 tint so police aren’t likely to mess with you. unless your cars super old I don’t suggest tinting the windshield you can really only get away with it with newer cars. But either way it looks nice, keeps the heat out and if you’re the type to hang out in the car i 1000% recommend it if you just want heat reduced then yea 35-50 is fine. 20-15 is for real privacy thought
I'm about to get my visor tint on my Impala, would suggest going all the wat down to the bottom part of where the rear view mirror part is in the middle or a lil above it. I dont want it super low

Question. How would you deal with stickers on your windshield when tinted? Inspection/registration stickers. Also does mounting anything affect the tint? Such as radar detectors or dashcams
Quick question, how do you handle customers who have gotten their windshield tinted but have to replace the glass due to a crack? Do you warranty the film out or are they charged again?
The damage they have is out of my control, yes they have to pay since I'm doing another full install. Also depends on how good the customer is maybe I'll give them a deal but I'm still doing the same amount of work.
@@arthurmumford3634 no it really doesn't work that way. I've never heard of a place giving a free replacement windshield install. If you get new tires and run over something in the road and pop it you don't get a new tire for free. You have to get another one.

If you remove the 50% and go with either one of those yes it will be darker. Probably do 35% since it's darker but hopefully you can still see well at night.

Question is which side does the pull away liner have to be on when tinting the front windshield. I see video of people tinting the front windshield but don't show what side the liner is peeled from. Is it the same as doing the side windows where the liner faces outside.
Ceramic has add HEAT protection and is made different and it will cost more money. Kinda like the TOP of the line film in some cases. You can tell the difference..check out my other video and it show the Heat box demonstration...Why you need 70% Ceramic tint.
Long story short lol I had started out with a 45% windshield with 15% tint all around the car. Didn’t like it so I then did 5% all around the vehicle and put a 30% windshield…. Changed 30 to a 5% on my windshield. Now I’m sitting at a 80 air blue in windshield. Lowkey wanting to drop a 45 over the 80 lmaoooooo.

I'd stick close to 50% personally. See what the shops have in your area. I did 40% Ceramic to test but it's still close to 50%. I think 35% is nice during the day but dark at night.

I think it will definitely help to make the windshield dark. Personally I'd do 50% so at least something is good to see out of. I'm pretty sure the sides aren't really dark at night. With 50% you'll still be able to see when it's dark.
Does the ceramic tint allow you to go darker but still see better ....meaning if 2 cars have 20 tint and they both look real dark does the ceramic tint allow you to see better from inside out while still looking just as dark as normal tint
That is a good question. I've heard some people say that ceramic tint has a better visual quality meaning it does look more clear to look out but honestly I can't tell the difference. I can tell the difference with the heat rejection which is a main thing about ceramic film.
I'm pretty sure your not going to past. In most states your not allowed to have film on your windshield. You can just search for the laws in your state and find the DOT files to see what your state allows.
@Skip R that's what I tell my customers. For the most part we have pretty good luck around here. What's worse, tinting the side windows super dark or light shades on the sides with a smoked full windshield? At the end of the day most of it wouldn't pass. Or my most popular install of just matching the fronts to the rears.. Still won't pass, so we try to have a level head and suggest reasonable shades to the customer but they are adults and want what they want.
What up FTB... I'm considering tinting my windshield but was told by a tint shop that it wasn't a good idea, stating it would affect the clarity of the HUD projection onto the windshield. This doesn't sound accurate because the tint should be more reflective inside the vehicle. Any thoughts? Thanks.
I honestly think you'll be good. I've done it and also my car shoots up LEDs on the glass just fine. The HUD shines up from the dash so it shouldn't be an issue.

I just found this channel And I swear I saw this car right after picking up my little siblings from school it looked so badass. But I only have a white impala with different colored fenders/hood because they messed up my paint codes at AutoZone 🐷😂. Nd I had paid a guy to paint it because I had no time and I was disappointed with myself 🌝😬

Hey how are you doing. So I have a Nissan Altima with double 20% in my front windows and my rear windows plus back 20 + 5%. I got a tint appointment coming up shortly. I’ve been deciding between 40% or 50% ceramic tint on my windshield. I don’t care bout darkness at night since my sides are dark. But I don’t want it to dark for cops to pull me over for it. But I want it dark enough to look Smokey. Btw cops in my area don’t really care bout tints. But I don’t wanna risk it with a blacked out looking windshield. Pls reply back and give me ur opinion. There's probably a million different tint scenarios you can do. I can't say who will or won't get pulled over. 40 or 50% both will look dark with what you already have on the car. Your shutting away light from coming into the vehicle by pretty much half. It's going to be dark and of course increase your chance of getting pulled. If cops don't care then do what you want and keep rolling.

Im going with 75 nano ceramic on the windshield. Get 45% around here and you’ll be on the shoulder lol. Unless you’re police or related.
Here in Ohio you aren’t aloud no more than 5” of tint from the top but screw it . That suns killer and it’ll make it cooler during the summer months
We aren't allowed to go lower either but I'm doing Full Windshields all the time 🤷🏾♂️

I tell my customers today sitting in the cat and put a piece of tape where they want it to stop. I install too their mark.

I think if you don't pull your accessory away from the film to quick you'll be ok. I have some people mount thing after the film is completely cured.

Liner is most ALWAYS on the outside or else you'd be scratching the film when shrinking and prepping it.
Do it look dark when the sun is out ?is the 50 light bad from the 40 ?

Man you’ve been through some tint that’s for sure! 80 is definitely light id as as least 50 on that.

I'm making a template on the outside and then installing on the inside. This is how most places install Window Tint.

There's probably a million different tint scenarios you can do. I can't say who will or won't get pulled over. 40 or 50% both will look dark with what you already have on the car. Your shutting away light from coming into the vehicle by pretty much half. It's going to be dark and of course increase your chance of getting pulled. If cops don't care then do what you want and keep rolling.
