For one moment, as the Germans advanced through the smoke, you could see an SS soldier strangling an American while another American sees it, then just turns around and books it. Talk about a panicked retreat, although the AI probably just didn't have a script to intervene lol
I noticed that too! You could say that in the haze he couldn’t make out friend or foe and didn’t want to risk friendly fire so he just left.

In modern warfare 2 og and remastered I’ve seen Npcs intervene in animated takedowns. I think just before he runs away he shoots at the guy strangling him but since he’s an Npc he can’t hit shit.

Yeah, the U.S. propaganda machine was strangely silent about the Hurtgen Forest Campaign "victory" in the war. 3 or 4 more of those and the Allies may have had to negotiate rather than face such heavy losses. Even though the Soviets basically did this through every "victory" they had through eastern Europe.
That 55,000 figure is actually deceitful since it includes 1st and 9th Army losses for the entire Siegfried Line campaign from 11 September-15 December 1944. Losses in the Hurtgenwald itself would have been 31,000 including 8,000 non-battle casualties (illness, accidents, and combat exhaustion). German forces, however, lost 12,000 men KIA in the forest alone with another 95,000 captured by US forces in the time period previously mentioned.
As ill-advised as the attack in the forest was, it took a bigger chunk out of the German army than the US.

@@charles07km83 I didn't say it was 55,000 for the entire campaign. I said that 55,000 only represents the *1st and 9th Army* losses for the entire campaign. Learn how to read.
I always liked WW2's campaign, its obvious a lot of effort went into it, especially the d-day beach landing.
I like how accurate the german uniforms are!
the D-day part would have been better if it took more effort from our side to reach the bunkers, irl they spent 4 hours in the beach

I swear you have to be the best NPC battle uploaded. This one is by far one of my favorites. You got some amazing cinematic parts.
I definitely enjoyed WWII's campaign more than I thought I would. It had some pretty solid moments, this being one of them.
7:48 I was too focused on that dragonfly. Yet people actually said this game lacked animals and insects compared to BF1 back then.
This is definitely one of the most detailed cod (environment details)ever

i love these german uniforms and weapons, its so pretty!
you never dissapoint as always. is it possible to remake that old battle between macoroves men and shadow company with the spawner to make the battle more customized or does it have to play out the way the script puts it. i would love to see it go from a 4v4 to an all out war with btr's and stuff like that.

Actually, the American soldier ended up beating the German in the close combat animation.

the "damn factory of death" the battle of hütgen was one of the deadliest fought by the Big Red One

Its funny how a whole German/SS army retreated after their only PZ.IV was destroyed like as if it was amini boss battle.

When this game has more accurate uniforms and equipment for enemies and allies than fucking Vanguard!
at 5:22 you can see one of the Germans wrestle an American down to the ground before they’re both obscured by smoke and then when it clears the American is the one who gets back up.
I like how the US troops targetted the enemies with heavy weaponry like anti-armor.

Sometimes I wish this is what COD Vanguard should've been. No special forces BS, just playing as another U.S Allied soldier and his unit unfortunate enough to be cannon fodder in the frontlines of the WW2 Western front, hence the Vanguard nsme

WOW; peak intensity, gorgeous graphics lively illustrating the horror, shock & awe of WW2's killing grounds! I can't believe what these brave men, from both sides, we're faced with; it's something Noone can possibly train for. Can you blame some of the men for returning home anguished, bereaved, and deeply wounded psychologically with PTSD and other anxiety disorders?!? How could these men, then or now for that matter, process such thunderous, new and potent weaponry designed for one thing: mass killing! Their experience(s) at war was a newfound type of trauma engineered in the factories of leading nations now having found themselves propelled into a new world of mechanized and industrial warfare; our world was forever - changed!

I was also wondering if you could do some videos on Breath of the Wild, as there is already code for certain enemies being aggressive towards each other.
I even tried modding a lot but that game's NPCs is just not coded for enemy vs enemy combat
Stone Taluses have code to attack Guardians so that could be brought over to other enemies.

Can you do I vanguard one you could probably do the paratrooper mission or the El Alamein mission I would really enjoy that!
It's not possible to do a similar video on vanguard with cinematic camera, new cods require to be online so camera mods can't be used to avoid getting banned.

Everyone mocking this game in that time but after vanguard they think this is better
If there was a video of npc finishers(not the first person view)it would be amazing video to watch or I could play the game and try to look at some but I can’t because too much gigabit or sometimes no matter the difficulty I’m on both npc stay away from each other all times or my allies are kill with a 100% chance of dying.
