I dont know why, but this song just made me tear a bit.. it sounds so good but hurts to listen for some reason and my heart is slowly getting healed by this song cover and damn it sounds beautiful...
it's because sometimes we have to walk forward and not look back. even when some of our closest loved ones are calling out to us, we know that if we take a glimpse, we might just end up back at where we began. But also, as you look forward, the front seems a little unknown, and it can be nerve wrecking, but we carry on anyways. hoping to change, hoping to grow, hoping to find what it is that really makes us happy. hoping to make new friends and then one day, when we've grown enough, walk back to our loved ones and be a pillar for them. To end the only life we know, to start a new one.
I think this song is so relatable because it came from her real experience and emotion. The best part is that its all a phase anyone of us will experience in our life sooner or later thats why it hits so hard.
Yoo nice arrangment. I really liked those left hand jumps over the right hand, it adds just the right amount of accompaniment to what your right hand was playing and it's not overly done. The improvisations for the rap part was nice too.
Thank u! I personally felt that just laying chords lost a lot of the feeling and charm that the original had with the embellishments. Almost on the edge of 'too much' left hand jumps but I think it turned out alright.
I love this arrangement. Emphasis on "feeling" instead of technique made this really good. This is my favorite song of all time. BIG UPS for making this amazing cover!
you deserve so much more attention holy shit!! this is fucking amazing!!! end of a life has gotta be one of my favorite songs from Calli, and the way you recreated this on the PIANO is mindblowing
Hey, you earned yourself a subscriber! I’m gonna do my best to learn this piece, but I’m definitely gonna have to simplify it a bit first. Thanks for your inspiring transcription (I think that’s the right word for something like this)!
Wow really wow coming here from Hisaishi stream and this is so damn good!!! Totally love your playing here and the whole mood you create it's amazing absolutely beautiful really!! 💖🎹🙏🏻 Of course I subscribed to your channel. Wonderful 🤗
Wow Discovered your cover and I'm blown away ! Congrats, this is amazing ! ❤ The original song is already maybe Calli's best tune imo, but this transcription is on another level... ❤The vibes are immense and this music heals my soul... By any chance, is there a sheet transcription anywhere ? 🤔 Anyway, I'll probably add a bunch of views relistening to this on and on and on ❤
This arrangement is so wonderful. You can definitely see the thought and effort put into it. I like that this is much more of a arrangement than a transcription. What I mean by that is that you often didn’t try replicate everything but put your very own spin to it. For example by don’t forcing in the original embellishments (like I did lol) but used your own when given the opportunity (with that satisfying left over right hand). Or at 3:45 where you changed up the melody a bit to make it a bit less repetitive. I also enjoyed the improv for the second verse. May I ask you why you skipped the first rap part then? :D I also think editing at 3:18 really fits, because it came at the crucial moment of this piece. Lastly, I love how you inverted the F7 and Gm7 chord and didn’t even play the root note for the first and last time at the very end for the suspense (3:43). It’s simple but really sticks out to me. There’s probably so much more I missed after replaying and comparing it for like the 5th time. I didn’t even mention your left hand accompaniment, where you connected those chords with in-between notes. I’ll just have to wait until you updated your description. ^^ Even if this doesn’t blow up anymore, I think it was a good call to thoroughly work on it upload a cover three months later. This is definitely in my Top 2 “end of a life” covers without bias. Maybe the producer himself will leave a comment :D
Thank you! I loved reading this! I’ve updated the description now, but the short answer to the first verse is that I couldn’t make it add anything significant, and it felt repetitive to the second verse.

Thank you! The song in itself makes me really emotional too! ;(
