I think the hiss / roomy effect is just because a lot of his beats in TH-cam are taken from his cassette beat tapes, so the quality is just fucked. If you listen to fantastic vol 2 and pretty much any of his solo albums they’re very clean and well mixed. But this video do show accurately how the cassette versions sound
