Speaking from experience, I think the Barbarian is definitely one of, if not THE, most fun characters to play in D3. It's extremely satisfying and visually pleasing, and they've nailed that feeling of "I'M A FORCE OF NATURE!".
If I had to guess the rank of popularity, I'd say 1-Barbarian 2-Wizard 3-Demon hunter, the classes that are more easily associated to melee, magic and range, respectively, and 4-Witchhunter 5-Monk. Witchhunter relies between 2 things, alchemy attacks and summoning undead, Monk also relies entirely on melee attacks but with a spiritual component to them, while the Barbarian's melee is a lot more raw, steel, savage. I'm not sure which one I'll start myself. My favorite in D2 was the Sorceress
Seems like the barbarian is the coolest class to play for me, though I'm still debating with myself if I should choose to play the monk or witch doctor. Their abilities looks cool too.
You can find the set piece on the site if you look on the barbarians weapons and shizzle and then at the armor sections you can see the helmet from the immortal king set.
By far one of the best game characters ever created. And of course the best Diablo character and most fun to play. I hope it keeps that way on Diablo III, cause he's the first character I'm gonna pick
wow they really improved the graphics alot since the beta!! i know videos don't do it justice but if it looks this good on a video it will look even better when u play the game in 1080p fullscreen
0:56 Not covering his abs in armor isn't a weakness. A barbarian's six pack is all the armor he needs. It's just that he isn't able to cover his entire body with his six pack so he needs to cover it with 'comparatively' flimsy pieces of metal.
I played the open beta and the Barbarian was my favorite, followed by the Witchdoctor. I had my hopes high for the Wizard but...the Barbarian damn, felt good playing with him. I'm starting with him, next Witchdoctor.
the only thing that i didnt mention is that all those recordings are rather old, so what we hear in diablo 3 is sort of remixed music. so it kinda is in the hands of someone else to make use of all that and then another person to 'put a stamp on it' so it gets into the game. as for reading about it you can find that by googling 'diablo 3 matt uelmen 90 minutes' or something like that. one of those serious fan sites will have the articles about all that. diablo community is great.

I meant D3 is set 20 years after D2, and this Barbarian is the one who battled Diablo 20 years prior (in the previous game).

Barbarian may be weak but he has the most potential out of all the classes. A barb with top notch gear will wipe the floor with any class.
