Seventy year old, and a first time listener to Wilderado and Max Rainier. Awesome Stuff, just wish I could be there at Seattle's Crocodile Cafe on Monday :( I'd be remiss if I didn't say what a unique voice Max has!!!
Where have you been all my life dude??! So good. I was hoping you were gonna play something off Talker but I love the old stuff now. What a beautiful song writer ❤ God is speaking through you young man.
Anyone know how he is playing his E and F#? He’s clearly not barring it and almost looks like he’s starting the E on the 6th fret. Anyways, I’ve met Max in Oxford, MS at Proud Larry’s and he’s such a nice guy including all of the band. They rock!
Ummm.. perfect tone, pitch, and volume! WOW. How have I not heard this before?
Wilderado for life. : )

This will forever be one of my fav acoustic sets. Thanks Max ❤

If I understand your question correctly, he's playing his low notes on the sixth string using his thumb for the F# and E is open.
