I grew up a child of the 80's, loving all the great John Hughes Movies. Musically, I came into my own as a young adult in the 90's. This band sings my soul. Like many have said, Where has this band been? I just discovered them a few weeks ago.
Listening to this album was a weird experience cus after 'Shadow' which I think is only the second track, I was like "well that's clearly the best song of the album" but then EVERY SONG AFTER PROCEEDED TO KICK MY ASS AND PROVE ME WRONG. With that said, I think this is one of the strongest contenders for my favorite track off the album. I could fall in love with someone to this soundtrack.
TW: Suicide This song hits different now, 2 years ago, I dated a guy and I really liked him even way before we dated, we had to stop because I made him settle things with someone who he dated before me that's making confused about his feelings, I let him go and he got back to that guy, I was happy for him nonetheless, I found my someone too a year after dating him and he was supportive with my new relationship. Some time last year, he stopped posting on facebook and stopped chatting me because he often chatted me and checked up on me because he knew about my mental struggles as well. I assumed he took a social media break because he and his boyfriend might've broken up or something. In some weird way, I just discovered now about what happened to him and I could stop crying listening to this song, because things could've been different. He could've still be alive. The last thing he told me before closing the taxi door he got me to get me home safely was, whatever happens, he'll meet me again and we'll start again when everything is clear. That was the last time I saw him alive. it's been three months since he took his life and I never knew it happened, I had no idea that he was capable of doing it. I just wish I could've seen him again one last time and told him everything I wanted to tell him back then. I'm here crying over this song and I also commented this on Taylor Swift's Forever Winter because it has the same effect on me.
