- I got some super adorable silicone molds and wanted to use them for hamster treats! Since I'm sure someone would also want to make these really easy hamster treats I thought I would film the process! They can be completely customizable to whatever seeds, nuts, or herbs you have or want to put as long as they are hamster safe! Please don't feed these to herbivores like Rabbits or guinea pigs as they shouldn't eat seeds!

I do want to clarify I did not say ingredients you can't pronounce aren't safe and yes I do know everything has a scientific name ie Cocos nucifera which is just coconut oil, it is perfectly fine to avoid ingredients you cannot pronounce or do not know what they are until you are for sure they are safe and know what they are/do. We sometimes do not have time in a store to sit there and google 20 ingredients we don't know of, so to look for short, simple and safe ingredient lists makes that easy. For example, I'm in the store and I'm comparing 2 dog treats- milk bones and Cloud star, based on quickly looking at the ingredients list which are you gonna go with? I certainly hope not the milk bones.
if you're someone who knows what fructooligosaccharide is then that's awesome! For anyone that doesn't know, it basically is naturally occurring in some fruits and veggies and can be a natural sweetener without all the sugar and also a prebiotic. *but* this honestly isn't necessary to be in a hamster treat! Especially not in something that already has Honey, Corn sugar AND cane molasses + dried fruits. The commercial seed stick mentioned in the video is also 8% in fat and recommended to be fed once a week 🙃 . Most hamster seed mixes overall aren't more than 8% fat and that's an entire bag of hamster food. So the point still stands, making your own treats is overall just better.

At the end I love how you included bloopers
My hammy was put to sleep this morning she had a tumour in her cheek pouch area. She was quite old and wasn’t going to get better. I started to notice it was causing her a lot of discomfort and she looked in pain and it just wasn’t fair to keep her alive in pain suffering. It was heartbreaking but it was the best option for her 👼🏻Rest in peace Maisie.
I’m so sorry for your lost! It’s hard when a hammy passes! ( I only have one hammy in all my life but me BFF has lost two hammies)

Btw you weren’t most likely first.... with all the views she got I doubt anybody was “first”. When you click on the vid no other comments show up unless they were there before you clicked. If you go off the video then come back more comments would be there.
@@Katie-ok4qe actually if you click on those three dots next to the word “Comments” and you click newest first, youtube will sort all the comments by newest-oldest. Scroll down to the bottom, and you will find the first comment. I did this a bunch of times and it showed that I was first before actually saying I was first. So yeah! There is a way to check if you/anyone else is first or not!

Me every time I refill my hamsters water dish. (Today I spilled it in his sand..had to put in new sand)
HAHA I've learned to just clean the dish then take a separate pouring container and fill it up once it's in the cage

Love the great care you give your fur friends. I wish we still had our Teddy so we can make these for him. We just lost our buddy almost 2 weeks ago. We featured them a couple of times in our videos. I can't bear to get another one right now so we just love harder on our rabbits!!

I taught my parents stuff in case they went to get something for me for christmas (which I'm scared if they do because I am planning on making a bin cage) and I'm not sure if they fully know what's bad and what's good so I made a google doc for them!
