Have you tried an ultrasonic cleaner? I recently tried one and love it to clean my blades! I was shocked how nasty the water turned. And thanks for the tip on the packets! That's a game changer!

Don't use spray or cool lube on 5-in-1 blades. It eats at the plastic.
You should only be using mineral oil on shears... not clipper oil
