Hi. The blue loco is indeed a box cab loco, made by roundhouse . It was a very detailed kit. I have one which I am in the process of making. Regards Southnig
That little baby blue motorized caboose is actually a model of an early Oil- Electric box cab locomotive. There were many examples of them on American Railroads during the early 1900's particularly between 1910-1940 and some were built to diesel electric as well as some of the original oil electric versions were later rebuilt to diesel electric. Various companies built them like EMC/EMD , GE, Westinghouse, Alco, and Baldwin.
@@shakeyhandsshedmodelrailwa2494 You're very welcome... You can get more complete and detailed information about these early locomotives from "Trains " magazine and "model railroader" magazine and " railroad model craftsman " magazine and also " railfan and railroad " magazine. That's where i first learned of them when i was young. That's quite a cool assorted collection that you got there i must say. 🤗
Your right it's a box of shit ebay is not the holy grail some think it is.

Great selection paul,plenty of projects.
yeah good lot martin i repaired two of the non runners already one just needed the wire soldering back onto a pick up
That strange looking “motorized caboose” is what I would call a box cab loco, usually diesel but sometimes electric
many thanks much appreciated
Made by Roundhouse.
