Finally some idea with reusable molds, I'm tired of watching ppl making planters with plastic container that are being discarded in the end, makes you wonder what's the point of making planter if you you have perfectly fine bucket 🤷
Thank you. for sharing your knowledge. I have been searching for this for a while, I finally find your vidéo. Very useful and educational. Wishing you all the best .
I really enjoyed the video and the content. this really is the only video you need to see if you want to make a beautiful concrete planter, thank you very and keep on creating.
I had a problem with inner mold, very difficult to remove. You had issue as well on the video. It is very risky to break the side . Even after puting oil on the sides still it is difficult to remove the inner mold without pushing . My first planter broke. But i will glue it with cement , hopwfullly it will hold
Hi Luca, great work. You are bold to experiment and you have created the most elegant product. I am facing the same problem. I need much larger planters. The size is 15 feet by 5 feet. Do you think I can try your method at that scale? Or am I better with laying bricks?
Hi thanks for the comment The clamps i did them my self from 2 metal hollow sections, a stud and nuts Its very easy to do and you can also make them the size you want according to the planter you are building
Turned out awesome! You didn't paint the inside of the mold w any kind of silicone? Seems like it broke away from the cement so nicely and smooth. Are you a wizard? Thanks again. Matt
Hi thanks for asking. I do not seal it with anything since it has to be reused. If you align the pieces of wood together well and tighten then well, there will be little to no leak of the mixture. Thanks
@@lucacaruana19 Thanks Luca. I can work out how much I'd need for slightly larger ones (45x45x60cm) if I knew how much of each material you used on yours. I'm just after a rough idea to make sure I don't massively over order.
the aim is reusable mould, and this method will work on much larger size minimal planters which are usually hard to find and very expansive, i pretty much did exactly the same thing for other purposes, I’d say a better shaped inner mould will make the demould easier, and very few things can be done to improve other than that, and it is indeed, a lot of work on both the building of the mould and the casting, so has to be same thing worth the input

Well done. This is the video that I was convinced of. There are many, but you are the best because the result is amazing and it gave a very clean job.
That is such a brilliant system!! So impressed and inspired.

Hi
Sorry for the late reply but I think it is better to use bricks in your case since the measurements you mentioned are quite large.
Thanks
Great job…great idea making your own
Ótimo trabalho, Excelente. Parabéns 👏👏
Very nice, lots of great ideas here. One question, if you have a moment: What type of clamps are those and where do you find them?
Hi thanks for the comment
The clamps i did them my self from 2 metal hollow sections, a stud and nuts
Its very easy to do and you can also make them the size you want according to the planter you are building
Thank you! That explains why I had such a hard time finding them online. It's a great idea!
Very nice
what kind of aggregates are you using !?
is it stone or other material.
white cement is necessary or we can use gray cement also.
It should be stone. Not smooth or rounded to allow it to bind better. Any cement will work. Ratio is important.

😂😂 No I didn't paint it. The plywood I use has a smooth finish and I think that's the reason it came off that easy with such a finish!
nice video.. Nice Mold!
Thks for sharing!
Uff valió la pena tanta búsqueda para llegar a este video!!!
jaja gracias
وانت الان اعطيتني بعض الامل
Wow! That's great. Thanks a lot.
Do you seal the inside of the box with anything? Looks awesome!

Great Job!
Great video! What size is your finished planter and do you seal or paint it, or just leave it natural? Thank you. 😊
When finished, aprox. 30cmx30cmx60cm.
Normally I leave it natural.
Thank you. I hope to see more of you videos.
Can’t find white concrete or white cement here in Florida . Where do you buy that ?
I bought it from a local ironmonger.
What did you use for your aggregate? It looked like it might have been Perlite. Nice job.
Hi, I use 1/4 inch gravel as aggregates.
Thanks
amazing 😻
Greet video!
great video. What is the finish on your plywood? black paint? a sealer?
Hi, thanks for the comment.
I bought it that way. I just painted the edges from where i cut just to increase its lifespan.
turn up the volume
put the mold on a washing machine thats out of balance when you load the concrete :)
Great video.. can I ask how thick the walls were and how much materials you used?
It is approx 35mm
Material used depends on the size of your mold.

O vídeo foi bom, mas senti falta de som, uma música, foi tão estranho, não sei se o problema está no meu computador...
ouiiii bravo
nice job really! do you have measurements for the mould to share?
Thanks a lot!!
When finished, approx. 30cmx30cmx60cm
Any chance you would be willing to make one (or more) of these to sell? I need to make a BUNCH!
I was considering selling molds but don't really know how shipping and the taxation part works
@@lucacaruana19 I want to write to you can you please send me your email
How heavy is that?
About 20kg
لقد قمت بمثل هذا العمل من قبل وكنت اضطر الى تكسير الخشب وشعرت اني فشلت وبأدت ابحث عن طريقة اخرى
Is it scrap wood what is he using to make mold
Sement???
Is it possible to get the measurements
Concrete can increase the PH of the soil and be harmful to plants
Hay quá
We aspire the same way with metal please
Now comes the hard part, finding someone to buy it.
Not hard at all.
@@joeltorres3202 we'll see, I got 5 out in the yard that I posted for sale today... how much do you charge for yours?
its alot of work to make your own mould need lots of prep ,,tools
This seems way more complicated than it needs to be.
Thanks
