Development takes time and all great companies have to start someplace. Hill Helicopters has achieved a lot in short amount of time. I have a masters in mechanical engineering and I feel confident the HX50 and HC50 will be successful and built as planned. Might take a bit longer, but they will do it and I’m happy to be an owner of each. Great reveal! Congrats to the entire team! The ships look amazing!!!!
AWESOME!!!!!!! Great to see the devrelopment Team too!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO GO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I see one or two of these in BC's future!!! hahahaha
@@shazam6274 IF, and only IF, things go as planned and without accidents or bankruptcy and the president flies away ....Let's be optimistic....but cautious.
The date for a flying version is still just a guess at this point so I don't want to make a prediction. Let's take it one day at a time, but the progress has been staggering.
Of course any one of a dozen issues can and will still arise but what this has shown me is that so far they have managed to solve a lot of the big ones.
There was a time where I was in your court as well. What I have seen though over the last year has made me a believer. They have come so far on so many fronts at the same time that I truly do believe it will be a great helicopter that will fly. Now timeline is still quite up in the air for me.
Actually this is the frozen design that will end up as the aircraft. Still some internal bits to work out but this is how it will look and feel in the end.
@@shazam6274 This will be some kind of ''Kit helicopter'' that the buyer will be required to assemble at the factory with the help of the technicians and engineers. This helicopter will be in the category of amateur-built experimental aircraft and will not need the numerous years and costs involved in having it fully certified before being put in production. The private owners themselves will in fact be the '' paying test pilots '' who will provide data , and money, for an eventual full certification for commercial use...I just hope this is not another ''Ocean Gate Titanic submarine Composite innovation'' that ended up in you know what....One thing is for sure: ONE, only one crash of this helicopter and the rest is history...Good luck anyway,,,
In the coming financial crash I would not pay want to pay up front for something that might not happen for many years. It hasn’t run and will be long time getting passed the CAA and the bureaucratic lethargy that they operate under. It looks wonderful but paying for development with sales money is downright stupid act by the customers. The concept is brilliant but the thing hasn’t even started up the engine yet. There are so many potential trip ups with such a concept. I wish them well but dealing with aviation means very deep pockets to pay the certification costs of the EASA/ CAA/ FAA. Etc.
Hope this doesn’t turn out like Nikola Corporation. A company spending money on presentations and show kinda makes me suspicious. However for hill this may be required as they need to raise money for development!
Very impressive looking helicopters. I can't wait to see those birds take flight. Awesome!

Absolutely I have actually placed an order for 3 HC50’s
Cant wait to see these in operation!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!@@BCHelicopters
@@ibtm Better get patient...the HC won't fly for many years yet.

Looking good. A little glitzy but looking good. Looking forward to further updates. Thank you BC Helicopters..
When is there going to be a flying version ?
Up until that all just hype imo

I was going to the Open Day today but I can’t go due to transport issues. 😢 The HX50 looks amazing!
That's too bad you couldn't make it in the end. This won't be the last time you will get to see it though.
It's not real until it flies! It definitely looks cool, but it needs to fly!
How was the feeling sitting in the pilots seat? What about the back seats?
I'ts designed very ergonomically and will be an absolute pleasure to fly.
Hope for the best, expect the worst....This applies so well to this venture....

@@BCHelicoptersthey have not got close to the big one yet. No engine and no testing…..
700 nm range would be absolutely impressive. Hope it’s legitimate. Nice looking bird
Did they have engines and gearboxes installed or were they just a shell?
Gearbox was installed I believe in order to support the head and blades but there would have been no engine installed yet.
It’s all glitz and leather seats to me. I really am starting to wander if this project will succeed. ( I was going to say get off the ground)

@@BCHelicoptersthank you for your reply. I wish you well and you and your team a Happy New Year
I was blown away. It's so sexy and James Bond like!
Yeah it's pretty sick
Phew, that looks like a concept car... Lots of show and little substance.

@@BCHelicopters Agreed. But will it Fly??? When??? And will it be approved to?

Looks great. Still looks kinda cramped in the back seat like a 44 though. Unfortunate for passengers / customers.
Phenomenal to see it though!
Definitely feels a bit closer to an Astar but with 3 seats instead of 4.
@@BCHelicopters that’s really positive to hear! I was hoping it was better in person. Great to hear.
It's actually very roomy in the back.

Worse comes to worse they can go experimental and do a build assist program, which would make approval easier!
